The fifteenth entry in Square Enix's flagship RPG franchise, set in a world that mixes elements of modern technology with magic, a fantasy based on reality.
It may take a while, but I'm pretty sure the game will come to PC at some point. It'll probably take a year or two, but I'll be picking it up when that happens.
Yeah, Squeenix has become pretty good-ish at getting everything onto the PC in the last few years, so I'll probably just wait for that version to come along, assuming it's not terrible. Nothing I've seen about FFXV makes it seem like something I desperately need to play right away.
It's a toss up between PS4 and "none." I'd really like a good Final Fantasy game, but based on what I've seen, I'm not sure that's going to be FFXV. I think I'll probably pick up the XII remake instead.
It is a race between when FFXV will hit PC to when I actually pick up a PS4. I will get a PS4 to play Persona 5 at some point.
I'm voting it will hit PC first. SE has been porting every FF game to PC as of late. So they must have been pulling in enough cash to make it worth it.
With FFXIV being their biggest money maker and I'm going to assume the PC is the largest platform for that. There is certainly an audience there plus their western arm has been killing it on PC. They also seem to be incrementally better at making PC ports and I would guess the end goal of that will be for day and date releases. Which is to say they will figure out a way to get it on PC there is enough money to be had to make it happen. It just might take 2 to 3 years.
Only have a PC right now, if I end up getting a console this fall I will play it on that one. Haven't decided yet if I will get a console or which one.
Though, nothing about this game has really stood out to me so far. Everything looks very, I don't know, bland?
The original trailer in 2006 for this game looked fantastic, but the current boy band traveling the world thing doesn't look like the same game.. But who knows! When it comes to PC i'll play it either way.
PS4. I own both consoles and I'm sure other people a like this as well, but I typically buy Japanese games, new IPs on PS4, and the franchise stuff like CoD, Assassin's Creed for the XB1. This is the first Final Fantasy game I will playing ha.
@gstats: That shouldn't be surprising, core Final Fantasy has been essentially a Playstation franchise since VII and considering how it went for XIII when the 360 was ahead there was no way it would be close now that the PS4 is dominating. For reference, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD (which included the XV demo) had an 89% to 11% split ratio according to NPD.
Whatever version doesn't have that gross Duscae demo vignette. Never had much issue with a game causing me to feel unwell, but for whatever reason that vignette really strained my eyes and would lead to nausea/headaches.
Ideally PC, also interested in if NEO will make the game runs any differently, so I am not in a hurry. Worse case scenario I will just borrow someone's PS4.
If I get it at release, it will be on Xbox One since I don't own a PS4. I don't think I'll be getting it at launch unless it pulls a Doom and blows everyone's expectations away.
If I wait to get it, it will be on PC, if a PC version gets released.
