Flame Over is a rogue-like (or rogue-lite depending on how picky one is about genre names) where players play as a fire fighter named Blaze Carruthers who puts out fires in various levels. Like most rogue-likes death is permanent however players can pick up tokens to update their fighter to help them survive longer. Each level has a time limit however when the time limit expires the game isn't over, instead it signals the grim reaper to come chase Blaze around. If Blaze is hit by the grim reaper then it's game over. Time can be expanded by rescuing survivors caught in the blaze.
