    Concept Origin

    During an interview with Game Informer in 2019, Ed Boon was asked if he would ever add another ninja to the game and, if so, what color would they be. The co-creator of Mortal Kombat said he wanted to add a pink ninja named Floyd as an homage to the English rock band, Pink Floyd. Fans of the series will recall that the purple ninja, Rain, has a similar origin as he is a reference to Prince.
