Originally a carpenter named Jumpman, this Italian plumber has gone on to become the most recognizable video game character of them all, starring in a veritable pantheon of titles like kart racing and sports. He has been voiced by Charles Martinet for nearly 20 years.
Luigi is Mario's brother. He began as a simple palette swap of Mario, but was later differentiated. In his later forays, he provides comic relief.
King Arthur, the fabled ancient king of the British Isles, has made many appearances in video games. His story has been fodder for many tales, including Conquests of Camelot, the King Arthur games, and Dark Age of Camelot.
The rival of Amuro Ray, Char Aznable is perhaps more famous than his opponent. Amuro Ray is the protagonist of the original "Mobile Suit Gundam" series and "Char's Counterattack" movie with a supporting role in "Zeta Gundam". The electronics geek stumbles upon the Gundam, a powerful prototype MS, during a Zeon invasion of his home colony.
The "eternal captain," Bright Noa is the most well known capatain of the Gundam franchise, and often heads the protagonist group in the various Super Robot Wars games. He commands the White Base, Argama, and Ra Cailum throughout the Gundam franchise.

Kai Shiden is a character from Mobile Suit Gundam and its sequel, Zeta Gundam. In the former, he pilots the White Base's Guncannon mobile suit; in the latter, he works as a journalist for the AEUG and Karaba.
Ramba Ral appears in the original Mobile Suit Gundam. He is a Lieutenant under Admiral Dozle Zabi of the Zeon forces who specializes in desert warfare. Based off of real life general, Erwin Rommel.
M'Quve is an officer of the Principality of Zeon in the original Mobile Suit Gundam anime. He has appeared in some Gundam-themed games.
Golgo 13, also known as Duke Togo, is a professional assassin. Originally a manga character, he has also been the basis of live-action films, anime films, anime series, and of course video games.
A member of the villainous Zabi family in the original Mobile Suit Gundam anime series. She has appeared to varying degrees in games based on the franchise.
Lalah is a character from the original Mobile Suit Gundam. Saved from her harsh life by Char Aznable, she would later form a close bond with Amuro Ray; this caused the two men's rivalry to escalate.
The protagonist of the Ys games. Adol Christin is a master swordsman and is a man of very few words.
Sayla is a character from the original Mobile Suit Gundam. She is Char Aznable's younger sister.

Dozle Zabi is the second oldest son of Degwin Sodo Zabi and the Principality of Zeon's Space Attack Force Commander in the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam. His job during the war was to move fleets to and from various points in space to help the Zeon secure victory during the One Year War, not unlike the American Fleet Admirals of World War II. He is best known for piloting the massive mobile armor MA-08 Big Zam.
