Successful API Request With PHP

Ok, I'm about at my wit's end here. Has anyone made successful API calls with PHP??? I've tried both cUrl and file_get_contents, and neither are working. Iwork with Google and Amazon's API all day long, so I should be able to figure this out, but if anyone has good working examples, I'd appreciate it!!!

Yea, curl works fine once you set the user agent.
