Are you guys cool with Ryan D hosting the bombcast? Don't get me wrong, I love Ryan's work, but I feel that the podcast could benefit by having someone like Vinny take over hosting duties. What do you guys think?
@Nightkiller93: Of course I like Ryan D. Don't get me wrong, but your point about Vinny not talking a whole lot is exactly why I want to see him host the show. By having Vinny take over hosting duties, transitioning the show from segment to segment, that allows Ryan to provide some of his hilarious musing with Jeff feeding off him. Those two guys are hysterical together.

He talks plenty, and plenty funny if he gets the chance. Just listen to The HotSpot when he was hosting. It was awesome.
I'd rather Vinny host the show, but then that would probably mean that he would have to edit it as well. He'd have a lot more late nights on his plate.
After Rich left GS I liked with Vinny took over. But I also love when Vinny just randomly interjects with sarcasm/random comments. He's quick witted and that fits being in the background for me.
I wouldn't call Ryan so much the "host" as the "front-man." He brings the action to the table, but it's all about the whole gang. The current set-up for the podcast is really why the show works so well and is so popular--it just flows better than having a set routine.
To be honest, I don't really notice whose hosting, as they all talk as much as each other anyway, and Ryan isn't the only one who introduces topics to talk about, all of them chip in.
There really isn't a host, they all host it. Ryan just has the job of stringing the stories ogether, and he does a great job of it. Its not broken so dont fix it

All of these guys are super talented, and more than capable of handling the podcast. Like many here, I know Vinny from his solid work on the Hotspot, however, there's nothing but talent here. We're hearing everyone every week, and Ryan has been doing a spectacular job ever since it was originally dubbed the "arrow pointing down" podcast.
I like the setup the way it is, though so far I haven't heard as much from Vinny as I would have liked, but that is mainly because Jeff and Ryan were on the arrow pointing down podcast from the beginning and Brad has such a distinctive voice that it is sometimes hard to pick up Vinny's involvement in the discussion.
I like Ryan and i think he does a good job as the host, having him and Jeff swapping banter would result it nothing happening on the bombcast except crude jokes and energy drink talks, and i've just managed to give up energy drinks.

lol i agree with hamz viewpoint , but i would still like to some more input from vinnie
As long as you all in the Bombcast, im happy, I loved the days of listening to the HS with Jeff, Rich, Ryan and Brad, then Vinny took over, equally as good. The ppl going now are the best of the best IMO. All the cast have great knowledge of games and the industry and can all put a comedic touch to it which is important for me. so keep up the great work guys.

If there would be a live show or a video every week recapping the weekly events and news Jeff should be host since he did an excellent job after Rich left the Gamespot.
I have to agree, I've thought that Vinny should host since he joined simply because he did a great job on the hotspot and it gives him a chance to be more vocal
As do I. Ryan may be the host, but they all say as much as each other and switching hosts wouldn't make a difference. Plus, Ryan was the host for the first ever podcast, that can't change now.
Man if it wasn't for Ryan Davis you wouldn't have a Bombcast. He first thought of the podcasting before giant bomb, with the arrow pointing down podcast. Then it turned into the Giant Bombcast at Giantbomb.com!

I think it would be fine with anybody as a host. Ryan is the clear best host IMO.
Jeff's great, but he gets off topic really quickly and often when he hosts a podcast. Jeff's off-topicness is awesome, but we do listen to hear these guys talk about games.
