Ok, I don't know if any one agrees with me, but when I first heard the Bombcast Intro music the first time they brought it in, I thought it sounded very much like it belonged in GTA: San Andreas. I'm not suggesting it was plagiarised or ripped off at all, that's just the feeling I get everytime that music plays.

Maybe it makes sense as they are based in 'San Fierro'

What does everyone else think of the music?

yeah the current theme music, I had forgotten about the opera one which I do know the name of but cant recall. Its used in the intro of an Ozzy Osbourne song. It is a lot better than many podcasts, but I still feel it is very similar to San Andreas theme music. The Australian Gamespot one is the worst, the intro music is really loud and piercing and then their voices are soft...the intro music pretty much ruins the listening experience from the outset

I really preffered if Jeff made an intro song in his style. The one they use now is too "noisy".

London's possibly the least likely place in the UK you will find posh people, only thing you get there anymore is a good shanking.

The only tune I don't like is the one they use to put themselves on a short break. It sounds...... very cheesy. Sorry to you wafflestomp if you composed. I really like the other one though.

Agree about the 'break' music, and yeah, I think the opening theme has hints of GTA San Andreas too. It's the high-pitched thing that pops in shortly after the start, not sure what it's called...

I.. don't think you've been on the streets of London recently. There's not nearly enough bass and/or posturing for that.

Now that I think of it, the theme sounds like the TV show Dirty Jobs...

They did change the theme music a few weeks back, though, didn't they? What's the story w/ that? The first thing was all silky love, the new one's a bit more stonkin', but I don't know, something about it just rubs me a bit wrong.

The theme music is awesome.  The game it reminded me most of though is Bionic Commando: Rearmed.

They have variated it recently, it sounds more minimalist, I still like it but preferred the one they had just before it.

I like the new music as well.

I  really like how the end of the second phrase (10-13 second mark), and the end of the piece uses the same notes that, in the old intro music, were the electronic voice singing "Giant Bomb." Every time I hear the end of that phrase I think "giant bomb" in time with the music. Every bloody time. It's catcy, and it's also a clever little twist and a nice easter egg for people who've been listening forever. Those few notes will forever by synomomous with the "Giant Bomb."

Still think they should use something off the Darwinia soundtrack.

Geez I never noticed that.  After it does the whole slap bass type thing that high pitched "wee woo wee woo weeee woooo weeee woooo we wo WEE WEE WOOOOOOOOOOO" thing comes in, and THAT'S what makes it sound like it should be in GTA: SA!
