It really depends on how talkative each person is.
Bombcast with 4 > bombcast with 5
I like the full crew, as I like all the dudes. Doesn't hurt anything IMO. Only thing I tend not to like is certain guests, as they can dominate the goings on.
Advantages to all formats, though the difference between 4 and 5 is less noticeable than when you get 3 or 6.
I know this goes against the idea of the website but my favorite parts are usually when they aren't talking about video games.people complain about Patrick, but he has consistently elevated the game discussion on the bombcast, some of you must be deaf or not paying attention
I'll just say what we're all thinking though. Vinnycast with Vinny and his dad.
I don't like the E3 podcasts simply because I don't like who they have on there some times. David Jaffe pretty much being the culprit fucks everything up and doesn't shut up. Imagine if there were less guys, it would be worse and he would talk more. I really wish Norm and Will got a chance to say more but Jaffe fucked that up too.
And they can talk about something deep because sometimes one of the guys won't say anything since he doesn't care or will chime in but its not like having the 5 means they jump from subject to subject.
I don't want no more Jaffe.

J'aime the podcast with 3 or 4 people, they can get deeper into their subject and don't interrupt each other all the time.
I think instead of reducing the number they should just be aware of their habits and work on interrupting each other a little less.
BON JOURNO. I like more people in the podcast it makes it easier for longer convoys since there is more possibility of disagreement and debat. its MATH

Patrick barely has a voice on the podcasts, it's the quicklooks where he really shines, or doesn't, depending on how you look at it. What separates Patrick from the rest is that he has the 1up wit, which entailed saying unfunny things but still getting laughs. For whatever reason the gang still laughs at what Patrick says, so it's unlikely he'll develop a sharper sense of humor. He does occasionally have an interesting perspective and there's nothing wrong with him in a larger group.
I've noticed this as well. For whatever reason, even if Patrick says something that isn't funny, the bombcrew still laughs.
But hey:
