Do you want Drew to join the Bombcast regularly?

I like Drew being on the show, but I think he has better things to do than sit for 3 hours every Monday afternoon and occasionally talk.

With Dave being gone, he'll get more chances to fill an empty seat. Though it would be cool for Rorie to be on more often as well.

Instead of Hey Drew, whatcha been playing, his segment of the what have you been playing part of the podcast will be Hey Drew, what incredible shit have you been pursuing in life this week?

Drew is such a renaissance man. And he never really talks about himself outside of stories that involve doing something exciting. Such an enigma. So dreamy.

I like Drew, and Rorie for that matter, but I don't need everyone in the office on the podcast all the time. There's something to be said for having a bench to fill in as needed, and I'm sure he's got other responsibilities as a producer that podcast recording time is good for.

After what happened with Ryan Im not even sure I want to listen to another bombcast.

I'll keep listening. It's what Ryan would have wanted. I don't know if the guys will have it in them anymore, though. RIP Ryan. :(

I think you're right. While this is truly devastating, I like to think Ryan would want the show to continue even without him. It will never be the same, though. =/

When I first saw this thread I said no, not because I don't like Drew, but because I really like him and "familiarity breeds contempt."

Today I voted, and I say yes. He can't fill the enormous shoes--no-one can--but his presence would be very comforting.

Drew should most definitely be a regular part of the podcast.

Drew is so awesome. He always has cool stories or these weird games to talk about.

Drew is a Greek God and dabbles in a bunch of neat gaming niches. No one can fill the void left by Ryan (and Patrick), but I think he'd be a fantastic addition.

I think for now I would prefer to keep it as Jeff, Vinny and Brad and then perhaps in the coming months, sure why not. I just think it's too early to be thinking about new additions to the Bombcast right now.

@localshop: Well, I don't think it would be too jarring with Drew on for the next one. He was on before and does well. It's not like they have a new person entirely.

I think Rorie would be a better fit for weekly podcasts, but I will never say no to more Drew content. I have a serious man crush on him.

Drew is a fantastic guy, and I'd love to hear more from him. That being said, no matter what happens, they'll eventually have to bring in a fresh face in the office. I wonder who it'll be.

Been wondering whats next for the Bombcast crew. There is now this nigh unfillable void there. It'd be nice for both Rorie and Drew to become regulars. Whatever happens I'm afraid to listen to that first podcast back. Eventually things will settle back into a new normal and probably quicker than you think. But the next Bombcast is going to be such a somber affair. Like I don't want to hear Jeff, Brad, and Vinny try and discuss whatever crap is happening with Microsoft or Sony right now. I'm all for a remembering Ryan episode, I think we all (including the bombers) need that catharsis.

Bombcast will never be the same. Which doesn't mean it won't be great. Bring in new folk, try something out and I am sure we will find something that works great.

I think they could have a rotating fourth chair, with Rorie, Drew, Alexis or some one from outwith the office joining in when they're available. It could be cool to get some new perspectives with a bit of regularity.

Drew is really good at sounding genuinely interested in everything (probably because he actually is). It's a gift.

Yes and make him the host, I don't think Vinny is the best man for that particular job. I think Drew could host in way similar to how Rich Gallup used to host the HotSpot.

I love Drew, but the Bombcast has been effective by maintaining a balance between the high-energy guys (Ryan, Jeff, Patrick) and the low-energy guys (Vinny, Brad, Drew). Right now, the balance is out of wack.

I agree, in the long term the bombcast needs someone to add a bit more energy into the mix. As it wouldn't work with someone Skyping in (Patrick) maybe Rorie might fit the bill even though I haven't heard a whole lot of him.

We all could use a little more Drew in our lives.

Yes, Giant Threecast is too few and I don't think there's anyone else they can bring in other than Rorie. Between him and Rorie I don't care who if anyone gets the slot (or if they rotate in and out).

It does make me wish Dave were still around so that we could have a semi-regular Davecast though.

What I really enjoy about Drew, besides him being hombre extraordinaire, is that he plays different games than the rest of the folks. It can keep it going in unexpected directions.

Drew should be on the show regularly for sure. One just has to look at the trip to Norway to see that he brings a lot to the crew.
