We will never forget our fallen bretheren.
Lost, but not forgotten.
Wii-ware DSi-ware: R.I.P.
During last week's new releases:
Ryan: "There's some stuff on Nintendo as well but... whatever."
Jeff: "Like what?"
Ryan: "Jelly Car 2"
Jeff: "Tell me about it."
Ryan: "No."
Brad: "E-MAILS!"
Jeff: "Let me tell YOU about it!"
Brad: " We made some CHANGES while you were gone, JEFF."
Jeff: "Fuck you guys."
We may never hear of another myNotebook again. I am saddened.
I loved the Nintendo Downloads section of the Bombcast, but they did take up a LOT of time (even at normal speed), so it's probably for the best that they're gone.
" Well, there had been many complaints in their e-mails / on the forums over the length of the Nintendo downloads. Jeff's 1/2-speed reading a few weeks back didn't help. I always enjoyed them, personally. Jeff's silky smooth voice is always appreciated around here. "Silky Smooth? No way, Rough, dangerous and rogue-like, yes. Get it right duder.
After all the bitching about valuable time in the podcast when the site started the memberships, the DSIware and Wii-ware things make no sense. 20 minutes of the same jokes every single week and it brings nothing to the table.
In my opinion, that time would be better spent doing more emails. Even if they just talk about nothing for 20 minutes, that would be an upgrade.
Do we really need more time to listen to the crew answer retarded questions asked by creepy stalkers?
Nintendo DSi ware is/was easily the best part of the entire bombcast.
I miss this. And nobody except Ryan seems to be against it. Which sucks. Yeah, there were some off weeks where it was boring but there were other weeks where HANDS FUCKING DOWN Jeff's reading of the Wii-ware was the best part of the entire podcast.
I mean hell, if were all about "saving time" why don't they just cut news & emails both? I find the emails especially boring. You get a few diamonds in the rough like the guy talking about testing out firing his shotgun while running backwards. The rest however are just utter crap and boring questions.
And yes, Ryan some of us would like 2 1/2 hr podcasts every week speaking of time that is. As I'm sure me along with many others listen to them at work or in other places were we need to pass the time. More bombcast is never a bad thing.
I'm listening to it now. It's not the same without the music and the rest of the crew laughing at the descriptions.
" Here y'all go http://blog.jeffgerstmann.net/2011/01/nintendownload-x-press-01-18-2011/ "You can't chain Jeff down.
Lol, Ryan's response to me when I asked him if he would appear on the show.
