Broken chat overlaying livestream video player

I had made the chat area as small as possible and then clicked the popout button to remove it from the main layout completely, but it keeps reappearing in the broken form shown below. I can make it popout again, but it'll just reappear later. It just appears on its own while I'm watching the video. Note that the popout chat works fine, but the one shown in the picture doesn't work at all.

EDIT: By the way, I just noticed my adblocker is active on the site. I'm usually yearly premium so I hadn't noticed that Giant Bomb wasn't on my whitelist! Rectified now ;)

Yup chat hasn't worked for me since the new site and just getting rid of it gives me this bug.

Popping out chat is, indeed, pretty borky in how it behaves. We'll look into it.

I still have this and it is pissing me off. Only way to fix it is to watch it in fullscreen.
