I've been changing my passwords on most sites where I have an account, but when I came around to Giant Bomb I appear to have run into a problem; the site won't let me change it! That's kinda odd. I went to billing, put in my new password twice and my old one for confirmation, and then... nothing. It just says something went wrong and dumps me back on the same page. Anyone got a way to get this done? Am I missing something obvious here?
Can't change my password?
Alright, I kinda hate bumping things like this, but I got into this password changing mood because of all the talk about this latest big security bug that's leaking passwords like crazy. I'm sure there'll be something else to panic about in a few weeks, but it's still not the best time to find out that I can't change the password on this site, you know? (There's also some weirdness where apparently only premium members can change their names? I dunno, I wasn't worried about that anyways, but it struck me as odd.)
My point is that even though it's not a huge deal, I do kinda want to know if this is a thing that's being addressed or worked on in some fashion. While it doesn't matter to me, someone who's put money into the site might feel a bit more panic on realizing that they can't change their password if they need to. (They'd also probably have a better shot at getting an answer on this.)
Alternately this might be some weird bug on my end, in which case it's really not anything to worry about. I still kinda wanna know, though.

@monkeyman04: @make_me_mad: I can't replicate this myself, but I can send you password resets manually.
I am also unable to change my password or email from https://auth.giantbomb.com/change-details/, whenever I try filling out the form it bounces me back and says
Woops! Something wrong happened, we are working on it!
If I feed it the wrong current password or mismatching new passwords, it validates those properly and gives the proper related error, but specifically gives the above error when everything is entered correctly, so I'd assume it's failing when trying to perform the actual change.
Do you guys have your old password cached? This happened to me. I ended up using a different browser and that worked.

@narujoe93: I would like to second that question, the GB staff are all cool dudes who are pretty on the ball so I assume if it had an impact on the site we would have heard by now, so fingers crossed it didn't. But a direct yes or no if possible would be mind at ease putting.

I believe that @mrpibb fixed the issue before it became widely reported, but I'd have to defer to him on that.

@rorie I can't log in the normal way, I get a password error. I've tried reseting my password, but I get the same Whoops! error as everyone else. The only way I'm able to write this message is that I'm able to force a log in by resending myself the email verification and clicking on the link.

It's been almost half a year and this still isn't working correctly? Hope it gets fixed before I need to reset things again, that Google hack a little while ago had me a bit worried. Maybe make an official thread where people can ask for password resets until it works again?
