I'm using Firefox 66 and I have to disable Ghostery to get videos to play. That can't be expected of premium members, right? To have to accept ad/tracking cookies?

Example of video that won't play if Ghostery is on:

I just tried this video in Chrome with Ghostery on and it seems to work fine, so this might be a Firefox issue? Have you tried another browser? Can you include a screenshot of your error console and the other information asked of in this thread?

Any extensions that would mess with video playback would be uBlock Origin, but I disabled that so I could exclude it. It's definitely Ghostery that's blocking playing of videos. Here's the log from the error console:

I'd create an exception in Ghostery for any of the cbsinteractive/cbsi URLs, I imagine they're required js files to make the player work. There will be an element of tracking involved to be able to pick up where you left off when watching the video for example and for internal insights.

You could maybe argue these shouldn't be required for the player to function.

@yates: @skumberg: Hmm, I'm still able to play Premium videos with both Ghostery and Ublock turned on in Firefox 66 on my desktop at home (albeit with the default settings) and I believe Will has not been able to replicate this either on his machine. I'll file a bug with your error console information, though.
