Hijacking Scam on Podcast Page

I was listening to the GOTY podcast on the podcast page when about 40 min in the page refreshed and went to this scam site including text to voice reading the message on screen. I was using edge with no ad block and was not logged in. I am in Connecticut.

Just had almost the exact same thing (my message was different, could be browser dependent) on the main landing page. No ad blocker, running on chrome.

I think this solves a mystery i had a few days ago with a bad ad. I had something similar happen to me a few days ago when i had ad blocker off, wasn't sure what was up. I left my browser open with some giant bomb tabs and a few other sites that should have been fine, came back hours later to my PC telling me it had been hijacked on a similar looking page, checked my browser history thinking i went to a fishy site or something only to find it was giant bomb, twitter and cheapassgamer. So im assuming that scam was from giant bomb then.

I’m on an iPhone and I just got the CONGRATULATIONS YOU JUST WON A PRIZE popup when clicking on the forums link. I want my prize!!!!

I also have this problem on my iphone as well.

@acura_max: maybe it’s not a problem and we both won a free premium membership. Gotta love GiantBomb always ahead of the game.

and this is why i run ad block fuck these ad's that install bitcoin miners on your pc.

Sorry about this, everyone; I'll try to file an ad complaint about it but it might take some time to look at due to it being the holidays.
