Is there a way to turn off the drop down menu?

I keep accidentally clicking links when trying to un-pause videos because I quickly scan from my tab to the window and it opens the menu.

I can't be the only dummy this happens to.

I've taken to scrolling the page down just enough to put the menus off the top of the window to avoid this.

I do this all the time. Eventually I'll learn, or so I keep telling myself.

Yep. I asked for them to add a small delay over in the bug reporting forum but it didn't get any attention.

Agreed! I've always thought it was weird that the site asks if you're sure you want to leave when you're doing a comment or something (I think it does that anyway... o.o) but not when you're watching a video. Luckily sometimes it'll pick up where you left off, but sometimes that doesn't quite work out. Some sort of feature to protect against accidentally leaving the page you're on would be nice.

Definitely not alone, happens to me often enough to be more than a little annoying :p

It's been the worst part of this site since the redesign. Open up a video, start loading, and when you're ready... Oops, now you're at a review from a month ago.

I'm assuming everyone having this problem is on an android device?

That's been happening to me like crazy that last week or so. It's driving me slowly insane.

I once asked jeff about this on tumblr but got no response. I do it so often, really annoying.

I'm confused. I don't understand the problem.

Same problem here. Usually happens when I switch tabs and go to unpause/play, as I'm moving the cursor down from the top of the page.

Would be nice to have a "theater" design that removes/minimizes the navbar and darkens the rest of the page.

I did it twice yesterday -.-.

Yeah, I do this a lot. I've gotten better at avoiding it, but every once in a while I'll forget.
