premium podcast RSS auth failure on iOS

Starting today as I tried to download the new Alt+F1, the authentication for the premium podcasts RSS feed started failing for me, deleting and recreating the feed didn't fix the problem.

I am on iOS 8.3 using Downcast 2.8.32, which i've been using for years (obviously not that version though).

I am also getting the same failure on the premium bombcast feed. I can access both of them when logged in on the web though. Based on the comments for Alt+F1 I might not be the only person experiencing this.

Hey. Same here using standard Apple podcasts app on iOS 8.3. Picked up the danswers fine yesterday but today I can't get into either the bombcast or premium casts for alt f1, thanks

I tried to download the Premium Bombcast this afternoon in the iOS Podcast app and it keeps on prompting me for my password, which works on the site. I get the same thing in iTunes on Windows.

same thing here in itunes on mac AND iOS podcasts app.

Same issue for me, just starting this afternoon.

Not limited to iTunes, I'm having the same issue updating RSS feed in iCatcher on my iPhone. Was able to manually downloading premium podcast using the direct link copied over from Chrome.

I'm not necessarily getting an auth problem (since it's not manifesting as such) but I am not seeing the most recent Alt-F1 podcast on the feed via Pocket Casts on Android. It's worked flawlessly in the past.

The GB twitter account said they are aware of the issue and looking into it, so that's good

I'm also getting authentication issues on all three audio premium podcast feeds, on Android. I tried to unsubscribe and resubscribe, when I used Pocket Casts that was the only way to get the feed to update. I'm currently using Podcast Addict and I also tried on Pocket Casts, with no luck.

Yeah. Just tried to download Bombcast and alt+f1 and can't sign in on my iphone or laptop.

I'm having this same problem, can't updated any of my premium RSS feeds through itunes. The login is correct since I'm able to log into the site.

A fix should be out for this soon. Try again soon!

Same with me, doesn't accept my password and I'm pretty sure I'm using the correct one (tried variants of it as well).

Tried again and its still failing, I'm also getting asked for authentication over and over again. I'm using android and Podcast Addict.

Glad to know it's not just me. Using itunes 11.4 on win7. I'm sure you guys will fix it. Keep up the good work.

Not working for me, I'm on iOS 8.3 using the Apple Podcasts app. I'm not sure if this is an issue, but I usually have to re-authenticate every time a new podcast comes out which is kinda annoying.

At the moment I'm having the same issue as everyone else, where I can't authenticate at all.

I'm still having issues. I use iTunes. When I hit Refresh on my Podcasts page, it asks for my password repeatedly, but says it's incorrect, which is not the case.

Still having issues here. Using iTunes 12.1.2.27 on Windows 7 64 bit.

Pocket Casts on Android still not picking up the new Alt+F1 in premium feed, but it could just be that they don't update in real time.

Update: Nevermind. It was just Pocket Casts updating slow. That seems normal though since they have their own servers to update.

Neither iTunes nor Downcast are throwing Auth Errors anymore.

@baltimore: Turns out video feeds were broken as well, we just pushed another fix to get those working again.

As far as we can tell all premium feeds should be working now. If you're still having issues try restarting your podcast app completely (itunes, pocket cast, etc.) and make sure your username/password is correct.

If you're still having issues after that let us know. Sorry for the troubles today, we're working on some stuff that should make the site a bit faster, we were bound to have some casualties :)
