Staff tweets not displaying and videos ending abruptly

A day or so ago the staff tweets stopped showing up on the main page, it shows their name but is blank where the tweet is supposed to be. I'm using windows 7 and the latest firefox.

On my laptop I have been watching the persona 4 endurance run again and on a lot if the videos the video will just stop playing in the middle of it and show a black screen with the play button. My laptop is also using the latest firefox but uses windows 8.

The staff tweets also are not showing up for me

Ok so it's not just me, staff tweets aren't showing for me either.

I also am not able to see tweets, I noticed this last night but it was as I was going to sleep and hoped it would be done by the time I got back from work today.

Same, tweets have been missing from the front page for the last two or three days.

Same for me. Also, I can't go back to older bombcast pages. It just stays on the first page no matter which page number I click.

Just glad I'm not the only one. Tweets they be a no show.

There's already a thread about this. I don't think they need to have three threads about the front page tweets being bugged.

I've also been having trouble with videos ending suddenly. Just tried to watch the excellent Euro Truck Simulator 2 "Quick" Look and it ended after about 10 minutes.

I'd like to add my voice to this, videos are ending abruptly, staff tweets aren't being displayed, and it's only showing old forum activity for me at this juncture. I'm running Firefox on a Windows 7 64 bit machine.

I am having the same issue (twitter, haven't notice any video issues yet). I am using Chrome, on Win 7 x 64.

Same here. Tweets not showing for me on safari, videos are fine though.

I usually have the video problem when the video in question has been recently uploaded.

I haven't seen staff tweets on the home page in probably 3 weeks. And I've seen another thread discussing this issue, but I still haven't noticed it fixed yet.

I'm not crazy! I kept thinking I was somehow spacing out for large portions of videos after they ended super early.

I think the main problem is that Giant Bomb has lost all of the original IT support people from the Whiskey media days. Now it has to rely on the people from the CBS IT support who might not be as knowledgeable as Alexis and Dave were about the specifics of the code.

It could be also a case of having different priorities within CBS support which regulate the issue with tweets not being visible to a lesser priority status. Though I do find it amazing that this has been an issue for over a week now and it still hasnt been fixed. Some people have also said that they havent seen the tweets for over 3 weeks now.

It's been a bit over a week since the tweets worked for me. Using Firefox.

I mentioned this elsewhere, but - we fixed the broken tweets, we are waiting for a code push for it to go live. Should be out today.

Same here - I looked forward to my daily dose of context-less tweets from the GB crew. It's been broken, as other people report, for the past 3ish weeks. I'm on whatever the latest build of Chrome is, btw, and on Windows 7. I'd love to see this get fixed!

But as long as missing tweets is the biggest "problem" I can definitely live with it. I'm sure they get it fixed eventually.

Yeah I have no video issues, however tweets and a few other icons (the messages, notifications and such corner is feeling a little lacking/broken/very different) are not displaying and have not been for weeks now. I hate to rag on the current web techs dealing with all this, however it is funny Alexis leaves and we end up with this.

Videos are so busted for me.

Tweets and Videos broken for me also, both on my laptop and iPad (chrome for both) so have been watching the new quick looks on youtube.

Update on this. The tweet thing has been fixed for a long while on our side, but we've been dealing with other issues, delaying some code deployment. As of right now, changes will be live tomorrow morning. Sorry for the delay.

About the video thing - it's likely Akamai and their CDNs, but I'm trying to reproduce the error now. I'm always watching videos on the site at work and at home, and I haven't seen it yet. Watched 3 Quick Looks today and haven't noticed. Feel free to hit me back with specific troublesome content so I can better debug.
