Videos RSS feed is missing stuff

Again.

For example Gears Tactics quicklook and the Mario Kart house party charity stream are missing from all relevant feeds, to name a few from the latest videos. I don't know if others are missing since I just noticed it and only knew about Gears Tactics QL from Jeff's twitter.

I follow the channel on YouTube so I knew about those two streams, but Premium stuff like the latest Mass Alex missed the feed, so I had no idea that dropped. The first few weeks of the lockdown seemed to go pretty smoothly with regards to the RSS, but things are breaking again. I also noticed that the new Giant Devcast stream didn't hit that feed, but that sounds like it might be another issue with archiving it.

Is currently missing from the video feed.

Maybe worth noting that when the stream was live the Vinny View popped on the feed prematurely, but now that link is dead and the actual archive isn't on the feed at all.

This appears to still be happening.

None of the podcasts (Bombcast, Beastcast, Hotspot) appear in any of the RSS feeds I use including the premium video feed (https://www.giantbomb.com/videos/feed/mobile/?api_key=REDACTED) or the Video Feed (https://www.giantbomb.com/feeds/video/).

It looks like they do appear in the Site Mashup (https://www.giantbomb.com/feeds/mashup/) but that feed barely holds even 2 days of content at this point with its 15 <item/> limit. Maybe that feed would be a reasonable alternative if it retained more items.

Is there any update to offer on the missing videos? I've noticed that the videos for the Bombcast, Beastcast, and Hotspot aren't showing in any feeds, is that a new change going forward or is that a bug/error?

Hey, apologies, I think Will knows what is causing this and we'll try to get it resolved. Apologies for the trouble.

All podcasts (beastcast, bombcast, hotspot) are missing from the all videos feed.

That RSS feed is really valuable for me because I watch all my GB videos in a podcast app on my phone.

It's okay if I have to use multiple feeds but nothing seems to be working quite right at the moment.

Oh wow, I thought it was strange I wasn't getting some of the content I was used to from the Premium HD stream.

@dodgyc: Hey, sorry for the delay in getting back to you - I think we've been trying to figure out if this is an editorial issue or an engineering issue, but it might wind up being a bit of both. The ticket is open for Will to look into and I'll try to get it back on his radar soon.

Bumping this as I noticed today that none of the Minecraft EP 14 videos from this Friday are on the /video/ feed.

Bumping this again week later as none of the Friday videos are on the feed. So that's Clue Crew, Hotspot and all of the Minecraft videos.

I should mention I'm specifically talking about the free feed that lives in https://www.giantbomb.com/feeds/video.

The premium direct download feeds seem fine at the moment as well as the free site mashup.

Yeah, it's still pretty consistent with videos failing to download from RSS feed. I only got the Jan minecraft feed.

Hey I THINK this should be resolved now, thanks to Will. We'll try to make sure it doesn't keep happening.

Thanks for keeping us updated Rorie, hopefully I can stop seeing this on my NAS logs. I was just coming to make a new topic cause I was fed up with it. I just wanted to know if it was me or something else?

Lockdown 2020: Rhythm Hell Fever - Part 6 is not in the free video feed, the site mashup feed nor the premium all videos feeds.

And now Playdate: Deep Rock Galactic (09/02/2020) is missing from free video feed, but seems to be on other feeds.

I think this should be fixed now. We have some tickets in to ensure some of this stuff is less vulnerable to people forgetting to check boxes, so hopefully it should be better once those tasks are done.

I'm only specifying it as free feed to not to confuse it with the direct download video feeds. Surely all videos should go to videos feed just like they go into the site mashup feed. Both are free feeds after all. This has always been the case.
