Call of Duty - Infinite Warfare

Looks like the 2016 COD name just got leaked a week ahead of schedule. This one is made by Infinity Ward.

Could they have come up with a worst name? At this point I have to wonder if it makes more sense for them to do a multiplayer only package (similar to the PC deal they did earlier).

Infinite Warfare indeed... CoD just doesn't end.

Hopefully it's good... It's hard to get excited about Call of Duty, but honestly, I'll probably get it. Or, my brother will, and I'll play the campaign. The last COD I almost didn't get was Ghosts, but since I got a PS4, I wanted games to play then. Ghost isn't a great game, but I actually enjoyed it. I am not a big fan of Black Ops, but I actually liked Black Ops 3 as well; still have to go finish on veteran. It's worth beating on it, but I stopped in the WWII part. Oh yeah, Advanced Warfare I forgot about. I didn't care for that one. The last ones I really was into was the Modern Warfare trilogy. Now that I think about it, I feel like the ones I like most are ones everyone dislikes most.

It's definitely an appropriate name.

Infinite sounds about right at least until the sales die down enough that Activision has to put an end to the infinite CoD games

That Call Of Duty names are sounding more and more like two kids fighting:

- I have modern warfare.
- I have modern warfare times 2!
- Big deal, I got advanced warfare!
- Oh yeah? Warfare times infinity!

...You know something where you could say "Well, at least the whole development team isn't licking some ex-Military guy's taint." Instead of just looking at the game and knowing they all are...

Every time the war ends they travel back in time to the beginning of the war so they can create infinite shootin'.

Looks like it's coming with a version that's packaged with a Modern Warfare remaster.

I gotta say, seeing the subtitle "Infinite Warfare" next to "Modern Warfare" makes it sound significantly less silly. Helps that there's some big Pelican-looking spaceship behind Joe Cod.

All I can think when I see that cover art is: how many more Call of Duties can there possibly be? What have we done to deserve a new Call of Duty every... single... year?

The only exciting thing about this, the MW Remaster, is already confirmed to be gimped. Remember when games used to come with a reasonable number of maps? Good times.

So I'm guessing the infinite refers to the idea that this will be always online. Ever since they put out that Chinese only version I had a feeling something like it would be the endgame for COD

I was worried I'd be £69.99.

They need to come out and talk about that COD4 remaster, if it has things missing it's not really a remaster is it?
I just looked at a list of the maps in COD4 and there are 20, there's 2 or 3 i think could be cut but i'm sure there are people who disagree and love those maps, 10 maps would be a huge shame, it should be put out as a separate product and not built into Infinite, also COD4 already has a good PC version, if they can upgrade it great but if it's a console port with brand new issues AND missing content then that's the opposite of a remaster.

It's sounding like a space civil war theme, for the next game. Could be interesting. Shame about the limited number of maps, but I'm still thrilled at the idea of playing COD4 multiplayer again. It'll all come down to price, how remastered the graphics are, and whether you can buy COD4 separately or not.

If they're re-doing every map from scratch, with current-gen quality graphics and textures, I think only having 10 maps is somewhat understandable. If it's just a basic up-res port of the first MW title, having only 10 maps will seem pretty crappy.

No COD title has has as few as 10 maps yet, and the original Modern Warfare shipped with 16. Either way, it's not the number that's a shame, it's the fact that the remake will be missing content. Won't be too bad as long as the maps that aren't included are maps that I didn't like anyway. I guess I'll have to wait and see.
