I agree with you dude..that and other completely stupid stuff like Dildos and lag..i mean seriously do we need a separate page for that? Not only that, but ppl attach like 5000 games/chars/objects/concepts to it and make a killing. Please do something bout this madness.
GiantBomb is trying to cover everything. Even the silliest concepts and people who barely have anything to do with games are added. It's part of the uniqueness of GiantBomb, but this does lead to some problems like adding every athlete ever, which is deemed unnecessary by many. Perhaps team pages would be better?
and I really think pictures of the sport stars should be limited to in game screenshots because someone could upload 100 images of a football player thats been in a video game but the pictures aren't of them in a video game. People need to remember that this is a Video game site firstly not a wiki clone.
To expand on this, how about deleting games from specific location that doesn't actually feature said location but instead just a team originating from said city? By that logic I could pretty much add every nation of the world to most FIFA games cause their national teams appear in the game. And obviously added pretty much any location to a game like Football Manager 2008 cause you know, most cities are entered into the database of that game.
