The Call of Duty 6 page needs to be deleted. The game is not confirmed to exist.

"I'd like to know how someone got 66 points on that page?"There are a tonne of concepts and objects attached to the page. 66 still seems like allot though.

"how'd someone manage to do that, doesn't it have to be moderated or something first?"I'd guess someone with over 5000 points did it.
Your winner for abusing their abilities is...Alynablaze! The fact that they took the time to make a box-art is quite pathetic, especially considering all they did was re-use the COD4 cover.
I'm surprised he has not started on the EA Sports '10 games. But yeah, the page definitely needs to be removed. Seems more like a joke than being serious, though.

I actually think the fake box art was done by Sarcastic Gamer for one of their parody announcement things.
EDIT: Yep, here it is
Wow that is really bad, Giant Bomb doesn't need this sort of crap. Its got plenty already :P but in all seriousness someone should look through this guys submission history and see if he does this a lot, if he does take away his ability to make stuff.
I was just about to make a thread for this. This is seriously sad though. especially the blurb and the article itself.
Not only do none of those people have over 5000 points, one of them doesn't even have 1000.
How did this manage to get through moderation?
That all depends on how you view the numbering scheme. According to Infinity Ward, Modern Warfare was what they considered to be Call of Duty 3 (and would have been, had it not been for Activision's shenanigans; they even left the executable named "iw3sp.exe"). There had already been two console exclusive Call of Duty games (Finest Hour and Big Red One) before Treyarch's Call of Duty 3 (and Gray Matter had worked on United Offensive before that).
Dropping the numbering sceheme entirely with World at War was probably a good idea on Activision's part. Other than rubbing Infinity Ward the wrong way with the Call of Duty 3 numbering fiasco, they're at the point now with the franchise that numbering is just going to further confuse people (especially with the time era hopping). So saying that, I vote for deleting the page altogether since there very likely won't be a game released with the title, "Call of Duty 6".
"Not only do none of those people have over 5000 points, one of them doesn't even have 1000.I'm the one to blame for this. The submission said that the game had been announced, I was over-tired and stupidly accepted it before I had thought it through and done some fact checking. There's no good excuse for it. So this was my bad and I apologise for slipping up.

The page is still up because only the staff members can remove it, and Daniel is the one who handles the deleting/combining. He's a busy man, but I'm sure he will take care of it.
"Not only do none of those people have over 5000 points, one of them doesn't even have 1000.The guy's link I showed had over 3k points, but he did obviously fall short of the 5k points. I guess it happens though, when you let it slide, I mean, it seems obvious a COD6 will be out, eventually, but you do always want the official report.

CoD6 has been announced. Google it, and Gamespot mention it in this article.
"CoD6 has been announced. Google it, and Gamespot mention it in this article."It has not been confirmed to be called CoD6, nor have any details been confirmed about it. The page has absolutely no use.
"CoD6 has been announced. Google it, and Gamespot mention it in this article."The point is there is no real information about it, and we don't know exactly what platforms it will and won't be on. And whether or not IW will actually be developing it, and the cover-art is obviously fake, and it isn't being released in 09. It is still technically an article that is just there for somebody to get points off of. We don't know where it will even take place, yet.
Why dont you guys calm down? We dont know anything about it except that its coming from Infinity Ward. Just like they took two years to make CoD4 after CoD2, they are making this. And just because it might not be called CoD6, there is not need to declare a tear down of the page. It is just a working title you could say, so stop trying to be high and mighty gaming gods that know everything and just let it go. The game is coming, you know it it. What it will be called, who knows, but for now, all you know is hat another Call of Duty game is coming.

Great, let's create generic pages for every guaranteed future release while we're at it. "Next Gen Mario Game (Working Title)", "New Halo", "NHL '12", etc. We'll fill them with fake box art that someone else created, guess which consoles they could be on, speculate on the developers and publishers, and then assign an awesomely fuzzy release date. Then we'll point whore the hell out of attaching concepts. In fact, I think we could even create new concepts for "Working Title", "Speculated Release", "Unconfirmed" and "In Development" just for this!
You look like you need the points the most, I'll let you get crackin' on it.

I mean hell, we know they will be coming eventually.
No, not for games like FF15 or something like that. That GS article clearly outlines that Activision has Cod6 coming out in 09 and thats that. We know that game is in development. Are you trying to tell me we dont know for sure? There are other games that are in development and are outlined in published plans put out as press releases by publishers like 2k games which mentioned NBA 2k10. Just because we dont have cover art for that game, we shouldn't have a page on it? Now for that new project that Bungie is working on, I don't know what it is, maybe a new halo, maybe Gearbox is working on it, who knows but like I said before, another CoD game is coming out and Activision is the first to say so in the press release outlining their 09 releases. Just because we don't have a definitive title or box art doesn't mean the game doesnt exist or doesnt merit a page. FF13 is coming but others? Who knows, Square has not said anything about it. Again, Activision has. So stop trying to play this whole points game. I don't care about points. I have not taken the time to look into what they do here. I am just here to talk about games. You guys can worry about tha stuff and try to be heroes and earn your points.
"there is, cod6 is now announced."That's not the confirmed title of the game, nothing is known about it but rumors and the same person that stated its pending release date and title (Activision CEO Mike Griffith) refers to World at War as Call of Duty 5 (which is obviously not its title) and has stated that World at War would be released in calendar year 2010 (despite having a release date of November 5th of this year).
The only news was confirmation that yes, Infinity Ward was working on a new Call of Duty and that yes, it would be coming out after World at War.
