The Not-E3 Time Zone Chart

E3 is dead. Again. Maybe forever.

But, that ain't stoppin' these presentations, showcases, press conferences, developer directs, or whatever the hell else they're calling these things these days. It's a mess, so I'm here to keep track of it for you. I will keep this updated as best I can.

Here's what we know so far:

If you don't like colorful charts, here's a basic text rundown:

PlayStation Showcase

Too cool for E3. Too cool to wait for Summer Game Fest. PlayStation is batting lead-off and surely swinging at the first pitch. They promise over an hour of PS5 and PSVR2 news and premieres.

Guerrilla Collective Showcase

This will be the fourth annual showcase from Guerrilla Collective, which highlights indie games. There will also be a Steam page highlighting all of the games.

• June 7
• 12 PM EDT / 9 AM PDT

Summer Game Fest

Geoff Keighley's quest for world domination continues.

WORLD PREMIERE!!

• 3 PM EDT / 12 PM PDT

Devolver Direct

Devolver Digital has confirmed that they will have another chaotic presentation as part of Summer Game Fest at some point. Hopefully Nina Struthers will return.

Wholesome Direct

The Wholesome Direct is typically an hour-long, rapid-fire showcase of dozens of indie games. Last year, it was co-hosted by Mary Kish. It usually directly follows the Guerrilla Collective show, but they haven't said that specifically yet this year.

Future Games Show

For the last several years, GamesRadar has done a presentation that features mostly third-party games that aren't quite big enough to make it onto the bigger events. Usually a few cool things to find here.

Xbox Games Showcase / Starfield Direct

You can cancel E3, but you can't kick Microsoft out of the Microsoft Theater. They're going to do a full showcase with nothing about Starfield, and then an entire showcase with nothing but Starfield.

PC Gaming Show

Since 2015, PC Gamer has put on a sometimes funny sometimes cringe-worthy show hosted by Sean "Day[9]" Plott. They've said it will follow the Starfield presentation, but haven't said what time exactly.

Ubisoft Forward 2023

Potentially setting a record for number of games in a single franchise in one showcase.

Ah, love this. Thanks, Marino. That PC Gamer show has slowly become one of my favorites. It's dorky but it's earnest and Dan Plott makes it seem like he's genuinely invested and enthused. That helps a ton in making it bearable. Keighley's shows are usually interesting (mostly because of the companies involved) but he has a tendency to make it seem like he's herding developers through the gate in order to get through things as fast as possible.
