https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atari_Jaguar_CD

I'm conflicted on whether the full name is the "Jaguar CD" or "Atari Jaguar CD", especially since we list the Atari Jaguar as "Jaguar". I'm fine with it either way.

If it makes things easier, I can go through all the games released for it and sort out all details/releases once the page is made.

I don't know if they honor/read platform requests anymore. I've got one that didn't even illicit a response from almost 5 years ago....

@marino I appreciate it. I have actually a few requests from the ages and I believe @bobafettjm had one or more as well. I even messaged Jeff about it once (I understand Jeff is hella busy tho).

Just after almost 5 years I felt like platform requests were dead.

@marino I did see those added, but I assumed they weren't from requests.

For easy reference, there are the ones I'm looking for addition:

  • Advanced Pico Beena (follow-up to Sega's Pico in Japan) (added)
  • Select-A-Game (Entex' handheld console)
  • Leapster Explorer and LeapPad (Successors to the Didj)
  • Casio PV-2000 (actually not another model of PV-1000 even though 2000 is listed as an alias of 1000. It is a separate entity unto itself)
  • Timetop Gameking and Gameking III - handheld system. Gameking III is essentially the Game Boy Color/Neo Geo Pocket Color/WonderSwan Color to the Gameking I/II (is in color and has its own software as well as being backwards compatible
  • APF MP-1000
  • Interton VC 4000
  • Digiblast
  • Sord M5

Thanks bunches.

Isn't the Jaguar CD just accessory to Atari Jaguar console?

I agree with @reverendhuntLeapad suggestions (never heard about the other platforms you suggested).

Also there are platform req. threads for Leapfrog Leap TV and ZX81. There are missing platforms for the old mobile Persona games too (http://megamitensei.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Mobile_Games) but I don't know how we should call them. Basically they're japanese mobile services.

@kaigan_sake: Sega CD was the same thing for Genesis/Mega Drive and we definitely have those.

Is the ZX81 any different than the ZX80? My knowledge of old English computers pretty much comes from Google and Stuart Ashen.

I believe they ruled ages ago to not allow pre-"smart" phone platforms. I don't agree with it, but that's what they've rolled with.

@reverendhunt: I don't know mutch about the ZX81 too but it was mentioned here and I did some quick research and found site with game tapes. Many of them are not listed here so I guess they are exclusive for the console. The question still remains if the ZX81 isn't just different version of ZX spec.

Hate to add another one when some of them are still processing/unfulfilled, but I'd like Evercade to be added as well.

Any chance of getting any of the other consoles looked at for addition in this thread, some of the older stuff?

@reverendhunt: I assume you're referring to these. I'll look into it.

  • Select-A-Game (Entex' handheld console)
  • Leapster Explorer and LeapPad (Successors to the Didj)
  • Casio PV-2000 (actually not another model of PV-1000 even though 2000 is listed as an alias of 1000. It is a separate entity unto itself)

Here's a couple I swear were on the site already.

Oric - Came out in a number of incarnations like Oric-1, Oric Atmos, Oric Stratos, and Oric Telestrat. I believe they're all just progressive editions of the same computer and run the same software.

Gakken Compact Vision TV Boy - Often just called the TV Boy. Made specifically to compete with the Epoch Cassette Vision, oddly.

Here's an obscure AF one... can barely find anything about it and it's not even on Wikipedia that I can find: Hitachi S1. By the giant Japanese conglomerate Hitachi, obviously. I do know that there were a few HudsonSoft games released on it, including one with Mario!

Hey, would Denshi Manga Juku qualify for a platform? I thought for the longest time it was just like a pixel paint thing but apparently the gimmick is you draw sprites so you can play with them in an actual game.

I think GB has all but abandoned the "wiki" side of the site.

As Jeff has said in the past, the videos get the clicks. This is why there is less and less articles.

Thanks so much! This was one I wouldn't have argued too hard for, but I thought I'd ask.
