Is Everspace worth the Early Access?

Curious to hear what the community thinks of this game. It looks amazing, but looks can be deceiving. Drop your thoughts here, whether you've played or not.

Played about an hour of it. It's like an action-oriented FTL, so if you want that, I'd say go for it. I've been digging it!

I've played about 2 hours and like it very much so far. Action-oriented FTL seems to describe this game pretty spot on, except money carries over and can be used to buy permanent upgrades like in Rogue Legacy.

It looks great and I really like how easy it is to maneuver the ship even in tight spots like spaceship wrecks and mine shafts.
