I know this isn't how the site works, but I would seriously pay an extra $10 on top of my premium sub to sit and watch Vinny play Factorio for like 4 more hours.
I recently got back into Factorio and Had the same idea.
It should be Vinny and Alex playing a coop game trying to launch the rocket. Dan and Abby can swap sitting in for commentary.
I suggest Alex because he seems to have a good head on his shoulders for strategy games. Also doing the feature solo would be hard.
Any frequent players know how long the average game takes? Me and my buddy are doing a coop game and are about 12 hours in. We are producing every science pack except the last two. We have won twice before so we have plenty of experience and also the aliens haven't attacked us much. I feel like a single game could easily take 40+ hours with less experienced players and more aggressive aliens.
@ssully: A few of my coworkers have gotten into Factorio (to the point that we have a dedicated #factorio Slack channel), the fastest anyone's beaten it solo has been 60+ hours on peaceful; nobody's been able to keep an MP game going long enough to do it.
It could be a fun post-Exquisite Corps game series, though. Super open-ended, and I'd like to see someone guide them through some of the more complicated signals processing stuff.

I would really love a factorio series project beast style. Getting into the weeds with signal stuff would be cool, but just trying to beat the game would be cool. The only problem is the game can be a bit of a slog to start. It's very slow and really doesn't pick up until you get electric power going - which an experienced played can do in 20-30 mins.
