Dear motorsport fans

It's nearly a month after the launch of Gran Turismo 7 for the PlayStation 5 and the PlayStation 4, now this time I'm going to make a thread of Forza Motorsport Reboot while we have a couple more months until E3 2022.

Here is my personal wishlist:

  • Improved driving model over its predecessors, just like Gran Turismo 7 did
  • Driving school mode
  • A good roster of playable race tracks/circuits and cars (street spec & circuit spec)
  • No need for online DRM
  • Needs a proper penalty system to punish the cheaters such as rammers, track cutters and wall riders
  • Having mid-save during race sessions
  • Having endurance events
  • Having improved racing wheel force feedback optimizations.

  • Fewer Microtransactions
  • For single player, better ability to customize AI difficulty (Around release of the last Forza, AI was busted)
  • Ability to put sick rims on my shitty Mazda 3 4 door sedan :)

@clayton_bomb: I'm guessing that this game will feature heaps of licensed aftermarket rims, just like its previous installments but try not to turn your virtual Mazda 3 into a ricer.

A brightness setting.
A pleasant menu experience like in FM3.

Having recently gone back to FM7, here it is:

  • Keep the fantastic in-car view from FM7; the more pulled back-view. (not the chin-on-the-steering-wheel-view of FH4/FH5). Or, the ability to customize the in-car view position, similar to MSFS.
  • Handling: at least as good as the supreme handling of FM7, however improvements are also welcome.
  • Options to increase race length significantly. FM7 has something like this, but I want to be able to run even longer races, where tire wear and fuel matter more.
  • Related to the above, have payouts increase with race length.
  • Microtransactions/DLC car packs are fine, just don't hide all of the good cars behind them. (For the most part, previous Forza games have gotten this mostly right.)
  • Bring back the payout bonus tied to difficulty settings, not just Drivatar difficulty.
  • Mid-race save session.
  • Similar to GTxForza, have a race/driving school for beginners.

@gtxforza: I don't have the space for a racing wheel, even if i did i'd probably only use it for games like iRacing that require it, i like being able to sit back and relax with a controller.

@cikame: I see, also you can look up wheel stand or foldable cockpits, which they're pretty good for racing wheels users that have small space in their room.
