So, whaddaya think? Will it be supported by a lot of games? Is 2009 too late for a completely different controller? Is PDP gonna make assloads of cash?

It will fail massively. Hardly any games will support it because not everyone will have the controller. The most support its going to get is a couple of games with wii style controls slapped on on top of the standard controller's controls. The controls will suck because they're just slapped on as an afterthought. Plus 3rd party controllers always have extremely poor build quality.
