A little logo for UPF

I put together a quick little logo for Unprofessional Friday! Here it is:

and here it is "in context" (although I'd only see it being used in the starting soon screen):

I tried to think about this one a little more and follow some of the rules and concepts for logo design. Also, it looks like a period/full-stop which I hope signifies the end of the week. Let me know what you think.

The font and branding look super familiar to me, but I can't quite place it.

Is it OK if I add this to the GB Plex channel as the UPF logo?

I have the exact same feeling. But really can't figure out what it is.

I'll echo the feeling of seeing that font or overall style somewhere specific but I just can't place it. It feels really familiar somehow.

I like this a lot. Some very intense Jeff Feel to this piece.

That might actually be a bit too classy and clean for Unprofessional Fridays..

@mjhwwbg: Is there high-res original of the Jeff photo? It would be perfect for video thing that I am doing (slowly).

@pezen@johnymyko@chaser324 Interesting! This is something that was mentioned in my GB logo design too. If any of you think of it, please let me know! I don't know if my mind is taking inspiration from somewhere and I don't know it or if my style just has that familiar way about it.

@charlie_victor_bravo The image is just taken from this UPF and then I did some editing to it to get the look I was after. Cant get high-res atm but should just be a simple case of print screening from that video. Hope it helps and good luck with the video thing!

I'm not a fan of the "F." Also, maybe ya'll are thinking of the UKF Dubstep logo. It shares elements with this logo.

Love the logo, I think that it would be cool if UPF got a new logo with the new studio. Also I would not mind if UPF got a "little" more professional. Though in a side note, I would like a show like the Lobby with GB but I am probably in the minority

I'm not quite sure why it looks familiar to me, might be the slanted font in a bubble part of it kinda reminds me of the Hewlett Packard logo. (one minor critique is that with the tops of the u and the p being lined up the f seems a bit awkward towering over the the other letters.)

Reminds me of foo fighters font

Something about that font is super familiar but I can't quite place it and its tearing me apart.

That is entirely too professional for something that is decidedly the opposite.
