if there were some other form of entertainment that was nearly as good, i wouldnt much care.


Would video games just never have existed and we never would have known? 

or would they just vanish one day?

I remember those D&D guys from the late 70's. I was stuck in the middle... not smart enough and not jock enough. I just be and watched.

I played alone. Still do. Single player. I'm still learning to get along with others.

Gee, let me think of what life was like when I was 7...oh, yes, we spent most of our time playing COD outside, played Tony Hawk with real skateboards, Super Mario World was a jungle-gym set at the park and socialization was done face-to-face.  Thank God that long American nightmare is over.

It's not that hard to imagine a world without video games, just go back to the 1930s, people managed to have fun. But what did they do? They created video games, so I think eventually, in a world without video games, they will be created.
