Adam Sessler leaves G4

According to this kotaku article sessler has left the comapny. more info is to come but he has left a statement with his lawyer

Television personality Adam Sessler and TV network G4 are parting ways, with Adam's last episode as host of G4's "X-Play" airing on the network today, Wednesday, April 25. Adam has been hosting the show since it first aired as ZDTV's "Gamespot TV" in July 1998 and he also served as Editor In Chief of games content at G4. His current projects include starring as himself in the Summer 2012 movie "noobz" and consulting with a film production company on theatrical feature adaptations of video games. Adam intends to stay in front of the camera and continue as a key voice within the games industry. He also sings and is available for weddings and bar mitzvahs.

Im suprided he stayed around as long as he did, the network went to shit he stuck around. Sessler seemed to be a man who lnew his history and his appernce on the bombcast was great. He was my favoeirte personality at G4. , i wonder if morgan webb will be the next to leave. he intends to be in fornt of the camera so i imagine he will start his own site. i can;t imagine him going over to the development side of the industry.

Glad to hear it. I've never cared for X-Play (or anything on G4 for that matter), but rather enjoyed Sessler's Soapbox and his appearances on 1up Yours and Weekend Confirmed.

I don't have anything against Adam Sessler personally, but I think he is just a mite annoying.

It'd be pretty great if he joined GB as a news guy or review guy, despite the fact that such a thing more than likely wouldn't happen.

Well hope to hear more from Adam in the future as his soapbox & the podcast at g4 were the things I really enjoyed watching mainly due to Adam's wit & humor.

Adam Sessler was the only good thing about G4, so now that network literally has nothing to back it up besides endless reruns of Cops and Ninja Warrior. I'm interested to see where he goes in any case.

Also X-Play used to be called Gamespot TV. That kind of blows my mind.

Adam Sessler ending up at GB would literally be the most amazing thing to ever happen.

That said, it won't happen.

I have never liked Adam Sessler. He gets alot of cred with the gaming kids for some reason (I guess they buy into his act) and can see him rather easily getting a position somewere else. I think this will happen.

I can only guess they realized he was balding, over 20 and not a hot girl and thus, fired him.

He wouldn't be a very good fit for Giant Bomb, no matter how great he is. His personality is too professional and not street enough.

Wow, wasn't seeing this one coming. No word as to whether or not he'll, still, be covering the games-industry in some capacity or not, save for the part where it is oulined that he'll be part of the production of videogame film projects. Though, the part where it says his departure wasn't "on amicable terms" sounds rather a bit ugly.

Good. I like him but dislike G4. I can't wait to see what he does.

Isn't it more likely that he had to be extremely professional because he was working for a network like G4?

I bet you he is not as reserved as he makes himself out to be on television.

While some people find Sessler abrasive, I always found his view on games in general interesting. I don't always agree with him, but I think his thoughts are as worth listening to as the GB crew. I can't really say that for many other game personalities/journalists.

Bout time. Sessler is a fucking boss and it always amazed me how long he stayed at G4. Wherever he ends up is going be the fucking place to be...second to Giant Bomb of course haha.

I always enjoyed Sessler's energy and passion. I wish him the best of luck.

Would be awesome for him to at least appear on a bombcast. To join seems kinda not likely.

Hope he does well. I haven't watched G4 in a long while, but I've always really liked and appreciated both Adam and Morgan and loved watching both of them

I've enjoyed Adam Sessler's reviews since X-Play was on TechTV so I'll really be looking forward to whatever he ends up doing next. (Giant Bomb)

I think Adam would be willing to do quite a bit to maintain dignity and keep doing what he loves doing...

But he's not going to be joining Giant Bomb, so that point it moot.

I liked Xplay when they did skits and shit, but then they changed the format, and then they changed the format again. and every time it got worse.
