Just think of a video game villain that would qualify to be the Antichrist.
For example, I think of Goldman from The House of the Dead series. If turning the populace into zombies wasn't enough, he plans on using the nuclear missiles on the world.
Antichrist in video games
" Just think of a video game villain that would qualify to be the Antichrist. For example, I think of Goldman from The House of the Dead series. No game will ever get close to representing the antichrist because there would be an uproar.
In Final Fantasy Tactics St. Ajora was basically an evil Christ everyone confused for a benevolent Christ-like figure.
The end boss of Chrono Trigger?
I don't know specifically about the Antichrist, but Grandia II has some damn anti-church themes going on with the possibility of an antichrist figure. Read the spoiler if you want to see why I bring up this game.
" Aww, I was hoping this would be a crazed thread about some game being a secret Satanic plot to turn the world's youth into devil worshiping mind slaves. "You and me both, brother.
Forget a game with an AntiChrist villain. Name me a game in which you the player are the AntiChrist! I'm talking a game where your given objective is to lead the masses down a beautiful path of self-destruction. The whole point being to subtly convince them, they being any community (one town, entire damn planet, whatever), to sow the seeds of their own damnation without even realizing it. Give me that game! I'll play it.
@N7: I think the human Alex Mercer from Prototype is a possibility. One thing for sure is that he is charismatic on Karen Parker and manipulates younger sister Dana into giving him information. Everybody at Gentek respects him except for Raymond McMullen and Blackwatch. Upon being cornered by the latter, Alex tries to cause the end of the world by unleashing the Blacklight virus, resulting in the deaths of many people, before he dies by the team. Imagine if he becomes infected like James Heller, he would infect some citizens and assemble an army of them to spread the virus all over the world. Also for the fact that he is quite possibly one of the most powerful characters in fiction also counts too.
"Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the Antichrist." (2 John 1:7)
The Antichrist is literally someone who doesn't believe in god. That's it. The one who looks like a lamb and talks like a dragon is referred to as a false prophet. And the beast is literally a monster. Three separate entities which over time have become muddled.
@Empirepaintball said:I am no expert but I am sure the Antichrist is the son of Satan. I might be wrong, but I think he represents the opposite from Christ. No game will ever get close to representing the antichrist because there would be an uproar. "Satan is pretty close to the Antichrist, probably even worse (biblically speaking) and he's in tons of games... like Scribblenauts.

Here you go, have fun I guess? It is like training for the 21st!
The Antichrist is anyone who is against Christ, and does not hold him in their heart.
Just think of a video game villain that would qualify to be the Antichrist. For example, I think of Goldman from The House of the Dead series. If turning the populace into zombies wasn't enough, he plans on using the nuclear missiles on the world. Not to mention all of his brilliant and insightful philosophical commentary.
If anyone here pops up a character that is visibly evil in any way, then they are wrong. The Anti-Christ will APPEAR as Christ himself, to save those that follow him, but in his wake damn them from eternity. Think of a Demon taking on a benevolent form to create a church, and in this church he sways people to him through miracles. But truthfully, through those miracles, damns their souls without them realizing it, by making them doing things that are not truly holy.
Read "The Black Road" in the Diablo Series, Kabraxis is the Anti-Christ imho. So is his "minion," Cholik.
