Anyone else glad none of the videos on GB are violent today?

@Milkman: Unfortunately "respect" is hard (impossible?) to come by on internet forums. It's also pretty uncool for people to thumbs down violence, and we know how people love to be cool. Violence affects me day-to-day. I avoid graphic violence in most of its forms. Enjoy Viva Pinata duder. Hopefully tomorrow is a brighter day for everyone.
@Hadoken101 Neither the Milkman nor @cheddartyme said Giantbomb shouldn't host violent videos today/any day. If I remember correctly Cheddar mentioned he was glad there were none, because he wouldn't feel like watching violent quick looks.
That said, I think you're point is valid: we should be careful how we police content. There are many example of content being pulled from TV, internet and theatres (the big one is 9/11), and I'm not saying we should treat the shooting in Colorado as either inferior or equivalent, but it does make you think what is worth upsetting our status quo.

That guy was just insane. It got nothing to do with violent video games.
Sadly yes, a lot of times it ends up that people that end up shooting up a school needed help and never asked, or even sadder, asked but never got it.
Lets not feel too bad for the murderer.
I feel bad when people who clearly need help arnt getting it. He became a murderer for a reason, I feel bad that no one is addressing that reason. And everyone, dehumanizes them the second something like this happens.
I really don't like when something tragic happens it means everything suddenly has some deeper meaning. OH SHIT MAN CANT PLAY BORDERLANDS ANYMORE THAT IS HOW IT GETS YOU CRAY CRAY
Pay respects for the situation and dont try to make it more than an insane guy doing a horrible thing.

Being insane is no excuse for murdering people. If you commit atrocities like killing random people who are just excited and waiting in line for something special to them, and you don't even have a reason to do it, then maybe you deserve to be dehumanized.

I never said it was. But when people dehuminanize murderers they often dismiss the person and the cause. But if people would address the cause. Then we could fix, or at least try to fix this problem. Im not trying to make excuses for what he did.
