Are the forums going to stay like this?

It's a bit unorganized. Is it just like this because it's "beta" or was this intentional from the start?

It's a beta, things can and probably will change.

it may be changed, but it's pretty well organized, it's just there is one board where everything shows up.  There is a board for everything.

yea as long as people post the right topics in the right places

I've already had a private conversation with another memebr and I've said that this stuff is crazily messy!
You can post something then refresh the page and it's already hit the 2nd page!
This must have at least 20 posts a minute at peak times!

I like it now, took some time to get used to, but it turned out alright.
Plus like samype said, It's the beta, so there probably will be some changes.

I actually don't mind the forum set-up...it reminds me of 1UP, but there is still order because every game/system/etc has its own board. So there is an individual board for everything, but the most current (or popular) posts just end up in the initial forum section.

It's day 2, beta and everyone's flooding the forums with random excitement.

Give it a week. All shall be normal.

I personally really like the way the forums are done.

And there is order...it just takes some outside the box thinking and actually subject material posting.  It's no more just ala carte posting.  If you want to talk about XBox 360, you need to go to the XBox 360.

Things almost always change after betas that's what they're for

Its a beta. And for the beta it is well-organized. Soon we will get mods and the forums might change a little as we move out of the beta stages and move to the real site. Most likely though we will see the same setup for the boards/forums.

An index with a listing of all of the forums would be nicer.

People are posting enormous amounts to boost their post-count, I'm hoping It'll die down in a week or two.

I like the forums so far. There's always something to talk about and there are a lot of great random and funny topics. I'm fine with the layout too. Doesn't bother me.

I like the way the forums are. If you want to talk about something in particular, you just go to its page or, if you're just in a social mood, you hit up the main page and there's a bunch of active topics to participate in.

Who are you guys kidding? The way these forums are setup they suck. It's very hard to find specific boards. I hope they clean this up a bit we need a index. If they don't I may just stick to Gamespot even though they are ridiculously strict. Gamespot's forums are so much easier to navigate that's why they are so popular.

I kind of like how it's set up. You have really specific boards, but every post has a chance because of the "Newest Topics" section.

Newest Topics should go... its way to messy and no one seems to know what board they post to when they click topics in there.

The forums are good, its just that there are a lot of duplicate threads and whatnot. That can be solved with mods and a report button.

yeah the duplicates are annoying

It's very likely that it will change in some way.  It's the beta after all.

That being said, it's pretty good the way it is, so it's not likely it's gonna change much.

I kinda dig the general forum area. I don't like that the views are listed before the posts. I'll get used to it, but it just doesn't look right. >_>

I don't think people realize that literally every game in the database has its own thread. That is why the forums are cluttered with General Discussion threads. I think they will address the issue at some point, probably during the podcast.

It's very non-traditional, but I like it.  It's nice to see a smattering of topics about just about anything.

I hope the forums stay like this, to be honest, I love the layout.

I just want the spam cut back and specifically, the thread dedicated to spam to go away. :) I think things will only go up from there!

It's a decent start, but things have to change. We should make a thread proposing new ideas.
