Been without a computer for a week, did dave really lie?

i remember one thing before my comp died, that NOTHING was going to change for free users, 
 
so what happend?

Just listen to the Bombcast(s) that you missed.

you still get all the same content that you did before, you still get the same amount of bombcast as the paid members but it's in two parts.

Simple answer is, yes.

Either that or they changed their mind without telling anyone.

Yep.  When people asked about the fact that they said they weren't going to change or get rid of anything that is already on the site he said, "you must be thinking of some other site."

Yes, things have changed. You still get the bombcast for free but its divided in half. The second half isnt available till a week later.
