I don't like Gears of War. I find it boring. However, I am very very alone in that opinion for the most part, so if the Gears of War franchise comes to Ps3 (not just a redux of the old Gears of War games, but the new ones too) it would be a pretty big deal.
Well think about it why would Fortnight or a new Gears even a teaser in a sizzle reel not be shown just a hint would have been very helpful to Microsoft now we know why.
Another blow to MS. As someone who liked the first three Gears games, this is pretty good news.
I don't think they're going to lag in sales as much as the doomsayers might - the Xbox isn't "dead" - but I really doubt they'll stay ahead by a large margin.
@xsuddenimpactx: Judgement was a waste of everyones time especially People Can Fly's but think about it you have a large number of people who just owned a PS3 having all 3(4?) games in one pack for like $60 would be a great value and if its on PS4 it would look great in UE4( holy shit they are probably using UE4!)
I feel like people have been saying they think that Gears would be multi after this gen for a while. It doesn't seem like a stretch to me. But it also seems like the type of thing Sony would show off with.
Could also explain why MS kind of farted out judgement, though.
Wow, so a remake of the original trilogy or Gears 4? That would be crazy if it's a whole new game and Sony exclusive.
If I had to guess a remake of 1-3 (and judgement?) all the DLC and all that.
That would be a great bundle if they could retouch the first two games and maybe retrofit movement from 3/Judgment in. Gears is a franchise I adore for its close quarters combat, so I'm curious if it's indeed a remake or a new project.
Definitely awesome. Certainly a better shooter to play than Killzone while PS4 dudes are waiting for Destiny.
What I want to know is, if it's coming out on PS4, I wonder if they'll also put it on PC. That would be the real victory.

They DO NOT OWN IT. They only published it. Just like Double Fine and Psychonauts and Majesco Double Fine owns the IP and Majesco owned the publishing right for that version of the game. So Microsoft own Gears 1,2,3, Judgement, and trilogy. If the games are remade and published by someone else then they can take it anywhere they damn well please.

I actually really enjoyed Judgment way more than Gears 2. I didn't even bother with Gears 3, but after all the small improvements in Judgment I can't go back to any of the earlier ones.
If this is all the Gears games redone and tweaked, I might give 3 a try
One of the only reason's I'd consider buying an Xbox One is for the continuation of Gears, so if that's legit you have no idea of how fucking happy I'll be. Still even if Epic owns the rights I'd have to imagine MS would be rolling out big bucks to keep it on their platform.

@the_laughing_man: Judgment is good but I'd only recommend it when it's around $20. Wasn't really a fan of how the campaign was structured and they leave burning questions unanswered. Multiplayer is fun but almost too fast paced for Gears imo. Overrun is pretty great and I think there's a demo on Live you could try, though during my time with the game I kinda got bored of Overrun much quicker than I thought I would.
