Best F2P Game to play with friends

Hello forums, I was looking for a game to play with my friends that didn't require high end PCs and maybe be F2P or not that expensive... We don't care if its FPS, MMO, RTS, we like all genres. Help us decide, thanks in advance! :)

Team Fortress 2 is F2P and it's a blast to play!

Tribes: Ascend can be fun.Then there's League of Legends if you're in to that kind of thing.

I'm currently downloading TF2 again, any good MMO's? I was thinking Vanguard or Warhammer?

It's super fun running around beating up huge monsters and crafting weapons from it's guts or bodyparts.

MechWarrior Online Those are all three games that are super fun to play with friends too

Wolfenstein Enemy Territory is free and pretty active. Its still the best class based shooter in my opinion. if you do get it download gamescanner to find servers as its a lot better.

Battlefield 1942 just went Free-to-Play on PC. I'd check it out, but I really don't want to use Origin. But if you don't mind it, the game is pretty good. I dunno how it holds up today, though.

How about Star Trek Online?
