This one gave me pause. But in the end, I'm going with Final Fantasy 13-2. It's range of musical stylings as well as its rad battle themes made it stand out for me, even moreso than 13's soundtrack before it. Also someone's gonna have to vote against Hotline Miami! Kidding, of course.
Hmm, this one comes between Silent Hill: Homecoming and Demon's Souls. I think Homecoming's soundtrack is overall a little better than Shattered Memories at least... If this was between Homecoming and Dark Souls, then Dark Souls would take it. However, for as much as I love Demon's Souls' soundtrack, Homecoming is going to take this one for me.
Oh boy, this group is pretty loaded...
Fuck...That's one game short of a reasonable top ten right there! And I didn't even list Spelunky which ain't too shabby itself, but
Asura's Wrath. I just expected that one to be over the top and nonsensical. But the music gave the game soul.
There were several moments where you're doing insane things, but the music is soft and warm and just beautiful. And that Yasha theme that plays a billion times, it could've played 2 billion times and I'd be fine.
BURST!!
None of the games I voted for in all parters of this poll won, and that's fine I ain't mad and I don't care.
However, how is Skyrim not winning this? We were all, all, walking through the snowy mountaintops of Skyrim in November of 2011, listening to the epic and very passionate score of the game while escaping Ice Trolls and looking for cave entrances. Are you kidding me?
The first time you paused while on your horse's back and opened a book to read it in the middle of snowy nowhere, and the music played in the background while you read the history and ancient legends of the realm?
Heartless bastards!
Radiant Historia had one hell of a soundtrack despite the DS hardware butchering it, the composer also worked on SF2, Xenoblade Chronicles and Kingdom Hearts.
Man, this groping is super rough compared to some of the other ones.
Agreed.
Dammit, voted Super Mario Galaxy without noticing Shatter was on there. SMG's a fine soundtrack but there's no risk of it not making it to the next round, so Shatter's the one that needed the support. For those who haven't voted: Hotline Miami and SMG are pretty much through, so vote for a straggler you're rooting for.
Also, vote for Shatter. The soundtrack was written specifically for the game, it wasn't just plucked out of a playlist like Hotline Miami's.
Wow, I was looking for Fez, Hotline Miami, and Halo 3 in the other categories but now I have to pit them against each other!?
It's close, but I've got to say Fez.
It seems like more people need to listen to the Shatter soundtrack, Hotline Maimi is good, but Shatter is on a whole other level.

I did not not vote for Hotline Miami because it doesn't hold a candle to anything orchestral like Super Mario Galaxy or Halo 3. Those games soundtracks make Hotline Miami's EDM look like a pile of hot repetitive shit.
@flacracker: boy, I've never heard orchestral tracks in a game before.
No Lollipop Chainsaw? That's a shame. Now that I look at this list, there is a metric ton of music missing, I know this is round one but man lol this list should be longer than the male and female character list combined.
Edit: Round 1 Group 4? *sigh* Too bad these weren't sticky'd or something.
Bayonetta is tied with Lair and behind Project Diva F?
I don't know who else voted for it, but I had to throw my support behind Project Diva F. I mean, I can not in good conscience ignore how much I enjoy its soundtrack.
I voted for it as well. Recently got the game, and those are my jams.

I love Shatter, but Hotline Miami's music fits the game better than most original soundtracks do, that is to say perfectly. I can't vote based on a distinction that would be invisible if it wasn't pointed out in the game.
Plus I think the Jasper Byrne tracks were original.
