Biggest Shocker at a Games Expo?
And yes, I do mean anything, games announcements, stupidity, arrogance, a hugely bad looking game, a game that looked way better than expected, the consoles, etc.
"Dissolve said:Whoa, whoa, how is it dumb ass?"FFXIII on 360Easily... I'm still vex about this dumb ass decision on Square-Enix behalf.

Sure, a "win" for us PS3 owners was bragging rights to being the only ones able to play FF13. However, isn't it nice to be able to share in that fun with everyone?

how is it dumb exactly?
Ps3 owners still get to play it and now 360 owners do as well. What's wrong with that?
On the financial side, so far jrpgs on the 360 have been selling better on the 360. Better in general compared to those games on the ps2 (yes, believe it or not they didn't sell well. talking about atlus, tri-ace, and namco games in particular)

I like the folks who blame it on Sony, as if Sony ever had any say in the matter.
The only reason any of these recently defecting titles are going multi-platform is because they're a business, a business that functions on money. The soul reason Sony had so many exclusives last gen is because, in essence, they were the only real game in town. PS1 was a format that allowed Square to flex its creative muscles, then Gamecube was a minor flop in Japan, and Xbox was (is) a colossal flop. This go around it's just simply not the same. For Squenix to ignore the 360 American user base is like leaving money on the table. The third party exclusive is a dinosaur, the FFXIII announcement was kind of a "no duh" announcement, IMHO.

and you know, devs typically will want as many people to play their games as possible. Obviously the company and financial side wants to hit as many potential cosumers as possible, but from a dev standpoint, many of them want the most people to play something they made and are proud of.
