Hey All
Ok, so I have been in New Zealand for nearly 2 years now (moved from the UK) , Living 5 minutes from the beach is awesome, with another Summer Xmas coming up I can not wait.
Funds have been tied up towards costs sorting getting settled and now I am getting settled and I want to buy more games.
Picked up the odd one from stores but I normally order online in the UK and save some cash.
Anyone New Zealand folk care to share what online stores they buy their games/hardware from? Would be handy :)
Defiantly looking at MW2, and I need a wireless 360 network adapter, bloody expensive in the stores. Some of the new games for that matter (WTF)
Anyone in Auckland want to meet up as well, let me know :)
Bombers in New Zealand
playasia.com and dvdboxoffice.com are both good for importing region free games. With Xbox 360, playasia has a comprhensive list of what is region free. I use Homebrew on my Wii making it region free. The DS, PSP and PS3 aren't a problem obviously.
I am Australian, just across the river in Tasmania. I order a lot online because our prices can be terrible. New Zealand prices are far worse. The scenery and quiet lifestyle makes up for it though ^-^ Welcome down under.

Just distance of some site in the EU etc you get naff down rates but you only have the one pipe to oz and then out again.
AS for games..
When I first got here 2 xmas's ago I saw games listed as $100 for new releases for most consoles and PC.
Now new releases are $130, $140. They went up for no reason. it is stupid
Tv's are ok price
Headphones are a rip off thought, £30 ones off amazon in the UK are like $140 here when they should be no more then $70.

mightyape.co.nz
Also broadband is not that bad....40gb data cap here and full speed. Usually get 6.5mbps and 77ping on speedtest.net
I use Mighty Ape or Gamesman (yeah its EB). The online prices are pretty consistent and I'm happy with PC games being a good $20-30 cheaper than console games across the board. Other than that I've been known to use Steam and Gamestop when the local online stores don't have what I'm after.

Titirangi Represent, I used to live there, BEAutiful.
I am in Flatbush there is also a guy who lives in Wellington (Timelord), And a dude in matamata,
I live in FlatBush, Outside Manukau
Mighty Ape is decent. They seem to have good sales regularly and they manage to get games down to Christchurch fast enough :D They're based in Auckland anyway aren't they? So they could hook you up with games pretty quickly if you're ordering online.
I hardly ever go to EB and if I do, its usually the last place I look... they seem to charge ridiculous prices for some games.
Oh and the internet situation here in NZ? I still think it's a bit backwards but its getting there... At least down in Christchurch I get a decent connection, but a bunch of my mates with Telecom say its absolute crap.
Haha! I'm glad someone agrees with me... didn't want to upset any possible telecom fans out here (if there even is such a thing). I'm with Telstra and they do an awesome job. At least I haven't had any problems with them so far. I used to be signed on with Telecom but they sucked so bad on so many levels... god I hope they go under soon or at least get their shit together, theyre already falling apart as it is here.
If the game prices are as ridiculous as those in Australia, then you might find sites that sell just the cd-key to games handy. I'm not Australian (Texan), but I love a bargain.
All listed sites claim they're legal and that the devs get paid (unlike with the sale of used games):
http://www.ozcdkeys.com/ (used this one for BF2:CC a while back -worked perfectly)
http://www.cdkeysdirect.com/
http://www.directgamekeys.com/
hey i think your thinking of hardened edition when you say 150 dollors, you can get the normal edition on pc for 100 dollers which i dunno what the exchange rate is right now but seems normal to me lol
