Borderlands question?

Hey Guys I have a question, 
 
After looking at borderlands it seems like a game I would be very interested in. However, I don't like RPGs that much, I am more of the shooter person, and thus i did not enjoy fallout 3 that much. How much of the game is a shooter and how much is a roleplaying game? and should I buy this game if I enjoy shooters?

Game's not out yet so surely no one would know? From what I can tell from the footage I've seen, it seems to be a good balance of both FPS and RPG elements.

You're okay, I'd say this game is at least 70% shooter

To me it doesn't look AS heavy on the whole RPG thing as for example Fallout 3 is. 
So I think you might enjoy it if you don't mind it a little. But really, since I haven't played the game yet at all then I can't really tell you about it. 
And neither can any of the other jobbers on here :P 
 
 
Anyways: I have a question for you. 
Why is it that you (and other people) actually "sign" their posts with their Usernames. 
We already know who posted the thing by looking at the, in this case,  "Post by xplodedd" part of the post. 
So we can already see that you've posted it since it's your Username.. 
Meh, don't answer, it's just something that seem super weirdo-like and odd to me :P

Given that there are skill trees, leveling up, and overall stats...as well as stats on all weapons that you pick up and even enhancers that up the level of your skills, I would say there's a bit of RPG work going on in there.  My guess would be that it's got a very shooter-oriented playstyle tailored to a very RPG-like depth. 
 
I'll find out this week.  GET HYPE!!!

i saw some of the gameplay videos myself, and even the GB quicklook, and like all the weapon upgrades and stuff, thats not that much rpg, although there is a bit. Ill buy it once the GB review is out.
