5 more sleeps! Or maybe 1 more sleep? Come on GB don't let me down!
Can't wait for Reach Beta!
Yeah, I'm pretty pumped myself. I didn't think I was ready for more Halo (and honestly when I first saw the team of Spartans for Reach, I was put off), but for whatever reason I can't wait now.
Indeed, the excitement is building within me. Too long has it been since I have been made to feel so completely inadequate by 12 year old kids. I hope it has an easily accessed mute function.
Yeeeeeeeah it's hard to keep up with the 14 year olds these days. I wonder if Bungie's social matchmaking enhancements well let you add age demographic to your searches? So if I'm 30+ the game tries to match me to people who are 30+. Probably not, heh. Cause if I was a 14 year old Halo prodigy such a feature would probably just encourage me to modify my search parameters so I could specifically beat up on 34 year olds like me :)
The game is looking great tho.
If you like competitive first person shooter's, then Halo really is the definitive experience. Not to take away from Modern Warfare or any other great online FPS games, but Halo really is designed to be more like a sport, where the best team wins and there is a huge disparity in skill level between a good player and a less skilled player. For example in Modern Warfare a great kill/death ratio is anything above 1.5 or 2, in Halo a great kill/death ratio is at least 5. I love the fact that when I die I can say to myself, that person played better than me, whereas when I play MOD2 I often find myself shaking my head and getting frustrated at lag and one shot kills.
" The excitement for the Beta and knowing that school ends next week is keeping me on edge. "School for me ends next Monday, right when the Beta starts. Perfect timing. :)
Yeah, I completely agree. MW2 is just so schlocky/cheesy with all its imbalances that you find yourself feeling you got owned by said imbalance/perk/host advantage .. rather than being owned by the player. In Halo, it's a lot easier to know when you were just plain outsmarted/outplayed. I dig that." If you like competitive first person shooter's, then Halo really is the definitive experience. The team mechanic is so important too. Again, not using this a forum to rag on MW2, but even in team deathmatch everyone is out for themselves. You're on a team in MW2, but no one plays like it. This was actually less so in MW1 (imo), but for whatever reason MW2 seems to be all about "how many people can I stab out with this here knife taped to the bottom of my pistol, as i run around tirelessly at super human speeds".
I turned to BFBC2 due to the state of MW2, but I'm really looking forward to getting back into Halo again =)
