Cards Against Humanity Holiday BS Puzzle

Everyone is going to start receiving their holiday bullshit soon. Included with the first envelope is an insert which contains the following message -

This is a simple substitution cipher and I decoded it pretty easily - it says

To me, this indicates that even the envelopes the packages come in could be a part of the puzzle, or intended to be used to solve it, so save them!

Let's try and figure it out together and solve it as a team for the prize! We need a team name, and I think it should honor Ryan since he was such a fan of Cards. Suggestions?

I still haven't gotten mine. I'm excited to see the end result of all of this. I'm sure it will be stupid.

This is definitely really cool. Hopefully being in Canada I'll get the packages in the same general time frame.

@blownspeakers: Each day they're putting images of the gifts up at holidaybullshit.com, so if your package is late and you really want to see what's coming you can always take a look. Personally, I'd rather wait and open the envelopes myself!

That seems like a definite possibility given that the CAH team has already demonstrated that they like to hide stuff in the packaging.

@chaser324: I thought about that too! We're may need to share pictures of envelopes (with names and addresses redacted, of course) as well as possibly the inserts and cellophane card wrappers.

I'm still waiting for mine. They're just envelopes in the mail, right? Not actual packages?

@milkman: The first one is just a regular envelope, at least. I assume the remaining 11 will be also, but you never know.

Hey guys. I just checked out the first video on the 12 Days of Bullshit Website. I noticed that in the video, "These low, low prices!" was given emphasis. Can anyone look at this card under a blacklight to see if there's anything hidden on it? Just a hunch.

I also received my second set today. No note, just some cards mocking various religions.

Thank you for reminding me that this is happening. I check my mail once per month nowadays so if I hadn't seen this, I for sure would have gone through the entire holiday season without what are likely to be my favorite gifts of the year.

Sounds like a good way to get thousands of people to waste hours of their lives trying to find nothing.

I didn't get coal lol Day 1 I got the letter and Conspicuous Consumption cards and Day 2 I got the Interfaith Circle Jerk cards.

I also have the interfaith circle jerk cards. No coal yet. Maybe tomorrow? Doesn't seem to be anything in this envelope but the cards. I wonder though, if all the envelopes can be pieced together to reveal a hidden message once we get them all.

Got day one's present yesterday. Day 2 didn't show up today though...

I received two envelopes yesterday, each with cards in them. No lump of coal here yet. Envelope #1 had "interfaith Circle Jerk" and the other "Conspicuous Consumption".

I got the lump of coal today. To my knowledge, none of the other stuff has come yet.

For those of you with the second envelope, is it at all different from the first? Even the colors of the lights being different might be on purpose.

The design inside the ring of lights is different. Day 1 (Conspicuous Consumption) has a tree that has lost it's leaves and some clouds. Day 3? (Interfaith Circle Jerk) has some chickens dressed up stereotypically French, with a baguette and some wine.

And the colors of the lights in fact are different. I wish I took better care opening them, but I think I have this pieced together right. Both seem to share the same four unique colors. Green (although I originally mistook it for a Cyan), Yellow, Purple and Red.

But it's late and my eyes are VERY tired, so if someone else has something slightly different, they may be right. If someone has something COMPLETELY different, then it's random and a red herring.

Guys, I think you might be over thinking this. 12 days of gifts, 12 days of Christmas.

The first envelope was a partridge in a pair tree (but now it's a scrambled egg on the ground)

The second envelope is 2 turtledoves (making more turtledoves)

I haven't gotten the third envelope yet, but it sounds like 3 french hens to me!

Did anyone else also notice that the postage paid information is different each day? I only have Day one: STA Clarita, CA and Day two: Brockton, MA so I'm not sure if Day three is different or not.

I've only received Conspicuous Consumption and Interfaith Circle Jerk. I tore my first envelope though.. :( Wish I had known to keep it! >.<
