That can be said to all kinds of media. In movies and games, the plots aren't usually all that cleaver either. But there are some that are interesting and good.  "

• T1000 (Program it to tactically avoid volcanoes and molten metal deposits)
• Replicators (Stargate sg1)
• Gordon Brown (Industrial and political sabotage specialist, just put him in a party and let him work his magic long term)
• SS4 Gogeta
• Stephen hawkings wheelchair (remove a key enemy figure sedated in it, and let the AI control their speech for manipulation) 
• Magneto
• Cloud strife (equiped with Ultima weapon and final attack linked with phoenix, knights of the round and mp absorb also linked)
