I would actually like them to do Jackal next. Another Konami joint!

Legend of the Mystical Ninja - although it has been a while, I don't know where that sits on the hard/limited continues scale.

What made This is the Run such compelling viewing was that one hit limited lives tension. So yeah, while a lot of these games would be great, I figure most of them would be a bit of a breeze. Streets of Rage 2 for example, unless you're bumping the difficulty way up would be a single episode deal.

Do I spy Battletech?

I wanted Streets of Rage 2, until I realized they could actually beat a game like Contra. SoR is great, but bumping it up on higher difficulties can be maddening in a frustrating way.

That's Pocky & Rocky for the SNES, I haven't played it since I was a kid but I remember some sections could get pretty hard so I would be allll about that. Even just seeing the image is flooding me with nostalgia.

@zolroyce: I think Jeff played a bit of that on one of his old game streams. Maybe 3-4 old game streams ago? I think he played the japanese version and people in the chat were talking about how it's Pocky & Rocky in the west.

I'm kinda hoping that they'd just go through every Contra game they can.

Some of these games are too long, but it is fun to think about what they could do.

@artisanbreads: Agreed. I think Bubble Bobble would become tedious rather quickly.

@brunothethird: like @zolroyce mentioned, that's Pocky & Rocky for SNES. It'd be more interesting to see them do that game than any of the others (aside from BattleTech, I presume) due to the reasons brought up by others...

Thanks for the info guys, Pocky & Rocky seems fanfriggingtastic. I have to buy it somehow!

Anyone remember that kooky game, Mega Twins/Chiki Chiki Boys (in Japan)? That has two-player and a hard mode, and plenty of dumb crap in it. Probably wouldn't be the best to watch, but it's in that ballpark.

Streets of Rage II would be pretty cool, but it would likely be over pretty quickly. It's a great game, but it's not especially difficult. Very possible they'd do it on the first try.

@brunothethird: tbh my first experience with it was on ZSnes. Me and my friend chipped away at it for days and made it up to the final boss. Not that I'm advocating piracy or anything, but RetroArch exists... ;)

I've always heard of Mega Twins, but have never played it

@cloudymusic: Darius, Gradius (or almost any shooter) would be great - but, as mentioned, it may get tedious.
