Did Abby ever apologize for that tweet a while back?

For those who didn’t see it, Abby apropos of nothing implied Cate Blanchett’s husband was ugly by calling his marriage to Cate “proof that God is a man.” She then brushed the criticism of the “joke” off in a subsequent tweet.

Just wondering if she apologized, and if so whether someone could link so I can read/listen.

It was a Joke, and quite on brand for her. So no need to apologise. Do you feel you need an apology from her?

I agree it wasn't very tasteful and an apology wouldn't have been a bad idea, but at this point, just let it be. Drudging up old minor stuff like this isn't going to help anyone.

No, she probably didn't think she had much to apologize for, so she didn't. You might disagree with that. I don't think she had anything to apologize for, personally. I thought the joke was funny.

I find her joke neither are funny or offensive. It's just your usual Twitter comment. Nothing worth starting a forum thread over certainly. So in my opinion, no, she shouldn't have to apologize.

I am so incredibly amused that you want to listen to the apology. "Uh, yes, I am sorry. My name is Abby Russell and I am sorry that Cate Blanchett is attractive and her husband looks maybe less traditionally attractive than her.

Threads like this really highlight how Abby is held to a different standard than the rest of the crew.

Which is a nice way of saying that being the only female member of an otherwise all-male crew really gets the attention of the creepy contingent of this community who one moment wants to be all up on you and the next moment wants to tear you down.
