Do you guys and gals also.....

Buy games and game related stuff just cause its cheap. I ask this cause i always do , wether its an old pc game guide or weird merchandise. 
So i was just wondering if this is something most people do, personally my friends think im crazy :)  but i wanted the general consensus (sp?) from a awesome gaming website with awesome gamer users :)

I bought a bunch of really cheap PC games that I wouldn't have normally due to the various Steam and GOG sales around Christmas. None of them are bad games, but they are games I never would have thought about playing.

Yeah, I've purchased a bunch of weird game-related rubbish in the past, plus a ton of cheap games I have yet to play. Most recent acquisitions, DK King of Swing, Conker:Live and Reloaded and Mega Man Anniversary.

Yes, I buy games if they're cheap, regardless of quality.

Yes and to prove it I got Okami for $10 and have no intention of playing it, anytime soon at least, but because I hear good things about it I just had to get it.

Whenever steam has crazy sales I buy so many games I will probably never get around to playing some of them. That's about it though, I don't buy console games at all, and I never will again, for so many reasons.

Talking about Steam is there anyway to tell when they are having a sale ?

No. I buy games and game-related items based on quality, not price. If a game or game-related item that  I assume will be quality also ends up being a great price, then, great! If a game or game-related item is cheap, but does not look interesting to me, I'm not going to buy it.

Stuff being cheap has pushed me over the edge with certain purchasing decisions but I've never bought something purely for the reason it is cheap.

My Blockbuster has crazy insane deals on games sometimes so I usually pick a used game up when I'm there. Like a few days ago I picked up Armored Core 4 for 5 bucks. Man, that game is so deep and intense I would have gladly paid 15$ used for it.

Yeah, as a kid, when the cover art and the back of the box is all I had to go on.  Oh man, I remember being just amazed over everything.

Occasionally I do that, if I know I would like the game don't want to pay full price or its the steam Christmas Sale
