Do you like the Greatest Hits version of games?

Do you not like getting the greatest hits version of games or does it not bother you?

I'm turned off by the box art, mostly.

I actually kind of prefer the platinum hits on the newer 360 releases.

With the silver packaging and the small green bar running across the top. Something about the silver cases is appealing. I have quite a few of them, kind of want to collect them as long as i can trade in or sell my original versions for as much or more, which has been the case so far.

Don't really care to much. Prefer to have the normal version if I can get it though.

Back when I was rocking a PS2 and was a broke kid, I basically only got games when they were platinum :-(

I like them when they include all the DLC or new content on the disc, I guess those are more game of the year editions. I think Paradise GOTY had some of the newer content on disc. Box art doesnt bother me to much though I never look at the cases when they are on the shelf.

I have a number of Xbox Classics games and it really annoys me that the box art is so overshadowed by a big ugly grey outline.

Honestly do not care UNLESS I am purchasing a game for collecting purposes.

They don't bother me, because most of the time I own the greatest hit before its a greatest hit.....Therefore, I do not buy greatest hits.....greatest hits

They don't bother me.  And I also think the Platinum Hits packaging is better than the normal style for 360 games.  Just looks great.
 
If you want to see ugly Greatest Hits packaging, look up PS1.  The stuff they use nowadays is gorgeous in comparison.

I prefer the original box but I dont really care either way. Really I just want a consistent looking shelf but both Ps3 and Xbox 360 games now have new designs that make them different so that is no longer a reality. So if I get a box with a different case it doesn't matter as a long as I get the game, but if I have the choice I would take the normal.

I try not to buy them. Due to most platinum hits games on 360 being games on demand i usually buy it that way.

Unless I'm trading the game on goozex the case could be a picture of literal shit, I couldn't care less.

I prefer them. I don't like the box art as much, but as someone who doesn't care about the boxes and only sees the spine, it doesn't matter. What I do like is paying $20-$30 for the game and all DLC.

 
If I'm interested in a game, but not interested in it enough to pay more than Greatest Hits price I'll pick it up while they're marked down and the stores are getting rid of the inventory.  PS games are great because for the most part they just put a red Greatest Hits sticker over all the black in the packaging. 
 
I display most of my games so the change in color really sticks out to me.

The new 360 hits box art is way better than the original ones.  
 
But if you guys want to complain about bad Greatest Hits box art, you guys have nothing compared to Dawn of Sorrow:  
 

The PS3 Greatest Hits cases make me physically ill. They look like Chinese knockoffs of actual PS3 games.

they are good. i don't care about what game is new or not. the thing i like is game of the year editions. they are great because it give the DLC for the game.
