I love the new look. Super sleek and sexy. My only complaints are not having the recent forum posts on the front page, and that the video player seems to load slower than usual. Either it's not optimized or my internet is being dumb (more likely the case). That being said, the bombcast player is a cassette tape which I find to be very choice.
Renaming Browse to Wiki is a good idea. Having a larger search bar is a good idea. It seems they got rid of the Friends Online, and User Level identiers, which is a bit of a shame. I don't understand the need for two Store links however. Either keep the one on the bar, and remove the one by the logo. Or keep the old logo one, and swap the bar one back to being Help.
The layout itself is nice.
Oh wow you are right I didn't notice before. This is incredibly stupid. The first thing I ALWAYS do when go on GB is check who is online and then click on the "Following" button to see the latest site activity for the people I follow.
It's not gone! You get that by clicking on your profile picture in seaserpent. It defaults to showing activity from <user name>'s Friends, instead of <user name>'s Activity.
edit: I should have said, Friends Online does seem to be gone, but the shortcut to activity by followed users was just moved not removed.
Yeah I noticed that afterward. I didn't see it at first because the twitter integration is working again and the site activity was lost in the middle of all the tweets heh. Now I wish there was a checkbox to hide my friends tweets. I'm already following them on twitter so I don't need to see them there. I looked trough the options but couldn't find anything.

I think that there is a limit on how large an image you can upload which was incorrectly set. Or in this case not updated when we moved to this new server. I have someone looking at it right now

So any news on the video player? Will they be improved or changed because right now they seem the same, slow, unresponsive and sometimes refuse to play entirely. HTML5 pretty much never works for me on Chrome.
I like everything about how it looks. The problem is the video player. I'll wait until the full site comes out before I lay into it, but right now it's really terrible.

What do you think about the idea of having ROTATING background images for everything?! (Rotating as in cycling through different images; not a single image, rotating)
Most of the design changes seem like form over function to me. It mostly just seems like everything is bigger, so I get less information at once. Unless there's a debiggen button for the entire site that I'm missing somewhere.
Eh. It looks like what it is: unfinished. Honestly, most of the functional improvements being made are too deep for a surface user me. I know Dave and the others want this site to be some kind of content creation wiki wonderland, but I'm basically just here to watch videos and comment. If the video player doesn't work right in every modern browser, then the whole redesign is a wash as far as I'm concerned.
I'd also like to see more information during live streams. The chat should be able to see right underneath the video what game is being played and how long the stream has been on.
If I'm going to really nitpick, I hate the circular user avatar on the new site header.

I'm able to get to the log-in screen for the beta. Once I enter my info however, I reach this page:

No updates have taken place after returning to the main URL.
Everything seems massive. I really hate the homepage. The stars look awful and don't fit the rest of the site. I don't like how hovering over the promo boxes on the homepage produces a text shadow and nothing else. The font doesn't fit the site at all.
