I don't know how they've survived even this long, with the way their recent games have been selling:
ShellShock 2: Blood Trails - 15,000 copies
Rogue Warrior - 12,000 copies
Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron - 16,000 copies
:/
Do you think Rebellion will last long if AVP flops?
No, it seems they may have had to restructure just to get AVP out the door. If it fails, they'll wither and die, too. There is no room for unproductive game studios in today's marketplace. Every month we hear another studio has shut down or gutted its staff. I think Rebellion might wind up another casualty of the high risk gaming industry by year's end.
"It's the top seller on steam. "
But Steam doesn't have publicly available sales stats, so who knows how many people actually bought that.
Besides, I don't think that Steam charts would be a good method of measuring sales. The people who are really into steam are pretty savvy about that stuff, and they know what is coming out and when, and will snap it up immediately and not wait until the following weeks (barring any wacky steam deals, of course). So there probably aren't a lot of lingering sales of ME2 or any other big recent release that would stay at the top with ease. Without much else coming this week for PC, I don't think it would be difficult to be the top seller.
