Does Jeff actually hate boobs?

Jeff makes it a part of his criticism of the game, and I would say the breasts had a major factor in his _3_STAR_ review of Soul Calibur 4.

It seems that Jeff would impose his extremely personal beliefs into a game review. What if Jeff hated Nazi Killing? Would it be correct for him to lower scores on games with Nazi Killing? Why doesn't Jeff lower scores on games that feature Lolicon (extremely young) girls in the game? Did Jeff notice that Soul Calibur 4 has a young 16 year old girl named Amy, that STRIPS when she takes enough guard damage? What's more wrong, a young girl stripping, or a lady with big tits stripping in the same game?

There's a lesson to learn here, Jeff. You said it yourself, the Star Wars characters were a quick cash in. It's true, SC4 has a bunch of different characters that don't really make sense to be fighting. A 16 year old girl. A woman with huge tits in a bikini. AN ALIEN. Here's two points to consider-

1. It's Fantasy. Go back to MMA games if you want JUST GUYS duking it out.

2. It's what people want. I've played SC4 with a lot of people, and some guys go straight for the Amy, the Ivy, and the Yoda. Just like the designer who made Ivy, there's someone out there that appreciates tits much more than you pretend to, Jeff. Strong Production Values and Game Mechanics should be subject to review, not personal tastes. Sex Sells because People Like Sex.

I think what he's saying is there's a context for everything and most of the time, in videogames, the context is "guys will be playing this game and guys like boobs put in boobs!" which isn't a very good reason to put them in. He probably has no problem with the nudity in Heavy Rain because it has an actual context and isn't just fanservice for manboys.

i think the criticism is over why there has to be virtual lady parts in a video game. i think he was pretty clear that he loves the real deal, but i am with him. 13 year olds and immature adults get turned on by this sort of thing and its kinda creepy. Yes, Ivy wasn't a big deal in Soul Calibur IV. I don't think Jeff hates boobs, but he definitly hates virtual boobs (which I can't fault him for). In my opinion though, Soul Calibur IV was more than a 3-star game. (like, 4-stars).

I think his opinion is based on boobs in games.  These japanese developers always go way too far.  Imagine what the Saboteur nudity would be like had it been made in Japan?  Those things would have a whole physics engine written just for them and be size 40FF.  Seriously, no japanese woman has boobs as big as they show in games there, and let alone a 15 year old girl they depict in some of these games.
Side note, it is interesting to me to note these things, but if he does hate boobs, it might confirm my suspicions that Jeff is a homosexual.  Just thought i would throw that out there.

It's not just Japanese Developers, it's the Japan Culture. To America, Japan is OBSESSED with Sex. To Japan however, they are not restricted to the American Value/Religion that you shouldn't show breasts. They're FREE! Naked tits regularly show in Japan after 8PM on TV, after the kids go to sleep. Do we as Americans have the right to judge international games based on American Values? Maybe. Maybe not. But if you don't like it? Don't play it. "
